Since 2000-2008 (And I used 2008 since most of the 2008 and on have no played 100 games or more), Timmins has drafted 23 players with more than 100 games of NHL experience.
Without takign a look around the entire NHL here is a quick look at some of the better teams:
Detroit 15
Chicago: 19
Pittsburgh: 19
St.Louis: 16 (Many people feel had the best scout in NHL in Kukolainen)
LA: 18 |

Loved Vinny when he was here, even though he wasn't here long. One time he dropped a card of mine in a puddle and gave me $5 to buy a new one.. then he signed it after the practice was over! Good guy, he'll find a home. - Panthers88

"but what Prospal can do is let you get to the puck first, then strip the puck from you and send his winger on a breakaway as quickly as many of the best the game has ever seen. "
When has this happened? - DinoRondelly
A petty lame attempt at saying that he's not fast but still really good.

I'll miss seeing him light the lamp in Columbus. Whoever signs him is getting a class act, a veteran player with the drive of just drafted rookie and the ability to motivate everyone around him to work harder. |

Who could he Kings/Habs be talking about? Big trade or little trade? Is LA trying to move out some salary? I know ppl will add my remarks as their location by suggesting some discussion fodder but ill do it anyways: would LA be open to moving Kopitar or Brown or Mitchell? Habs biggest need is scoring winger and physical D. Anyone know what LA could use and do any Habs players match that need? |

I always played the odds with Prospal. Every other year it seemed he was awesome for Fantasy Hockey. He'd rack up points one year out of nowhere and the next he'd get picked early and slack off. Only to be a low pick gem the following year. Perhaps he is used poorly at times, but sometimes I think all of the teams he's played for has never really given him any stability. I feel like if Clark kept him on the Flyers team and developed him right, he'd have been a different player. I thought he was probably one of the best players for Columbus not named Bobrovsky. |

Im not saying he isnt good, just saying that is a pretty specific skill he has. I cant think of very many plays all year where a slow winger lost a puck race to a fast winger, stole the puck and fired it up the ice to another (assuming fast winger) for a break away. |

I kinda have a feeling they are looking for some sort of replacement for Penner. Maybe They are looking at Bourque?

Yeah, no doubt. I hope a couple chime in with some ideas. I could live with that trade too. I think we have our foward group, no matter the size, set for the season. We need a physical D in there. It's the biggest hole with Emelin injured until Dec or later. Plus we get him for one year, and get rid of the 3 (or 2?) years left on Bourques deal. Bourques cap hit is good, it's just a risk on the injury issues, but Mitchell comes with those issues too. Does LA have a internal cap? |

la is in serious need of a top 6 scoring lw but not sure how high of a price we can give up, can't afford to keep penner and still have two rfa's to resign. kopitar and brown go nowhere....Mitchell is not going anywhere either unless his injury suffers another setback. Lombardi has resigned players banking on Willie Mitchell to return and taking his cap into consideration. LA has an excess of dmen (9) so Lombardi may try and offload one for some help on offense. |
