nah.. bolland will be used on the third line 5 on 5 and in a shutdown PK role is my bet

prolly get second PP time.. whereas bozak probably wont see much PP this year.

I think Kadri will slide into bozak;'s spot on the PP

or Kadri's line will be kept in tact for the second PP and Bolland will be used as the net presence on the first one.

thats how i see it too.

id like to see colborne be included as well, carlyle could put his size to use on the 3rd/4th line
- Mapleleafs_91

but Colborne will not use his size to his advantage.

imagine that line...

orr-crosby-mclaren

LOL

crosby just sifts through the other team and shoots it off orr's head and in...x10 a year.

mclaren just 1 punches anyone in a 5ft radius of sid

I thought he did a.good job using speed and his size in the playoff stint. I was actually really impressed.

I liked what i saw from him too.

albeit a small sample size, he looked to be gaining more confidence with each game

- faceto27

you have no idea

back in 93 my cousin played for the kings.. since things get rougher in the post season he was elevated to gretzky's line

after the first two rounds warren was something like 8th in playoff scoring and he was always a gritty checking line fighter.

Agreed, thought he helped control the puck well in the cycle. If he can keep that up his hands will follow.

yup just shows you the kind of impact playing with elite forwards can have on a guys numbers even if he isn't known for his scoring touch.

i mean bozak has been playing with a top 10 scorer and his numbers are through the roof.

ahah i had to

Me: "Warren, what was it like to actually play with Wayne?"

Warren: "you could put a hockey trophy on the ice and Wayne would get it points"

i always loved that line

Yep, it will be a valuable experience, wth his size I would throw him in front of the net on the pp when it starts to dip, it's pretty difficult to look around a guy who is 6'5+

who ever is playing well that night will get the ice time. Could be any those centers.
It could be they play all on one line.

Kadri/bozak/Bolland on the PP

yeah.. i like the concept of bringing him along a la the detroit model.. start him out on the 4th and let someone who's been there like Bolland show him how to play the third line role.

that way if Bolland gets hurt or moves on at the end of the year Colborne will have a really good impression on what a solid third line centre does in any particular situation.

I still think that was Burke trying to stir the pot... Also, said he was offered a first for MacArthur too
- PatC80

I don't know.. Burkie's not one to lie...

I think he probably was offered a 1st for both McCarthur and Grabbo.. by clubs who probably would have drafted late in the first round.

Seeing as he got 1st + 3rd = Versteeg.... seems very likely that those offers were possible!

Agreed I heard randy say in interview he likes what Detroit does with their rookies, throw them in to make sure he knows what they are and their potential. I would imagine we will.see that happen.more in an 82 game season.

I also think its going to let us watch Rielly on the big club for at least a week into the season

See this is where you do not make sense. Franson never used his size until this year, carlyle transformed him into a beast. Now are you saying carlyle cannot transform colborne into a beast?

This. Carlyle will sit him down and say if you wanna play in the NHL you have to throw the body...... either he will or we will see a different prospect.
