13-14 schedule is released soon right? Or is that pre-season only?

I need to plan my Arizona Coyotes golf trip.

Yup! Watched pretty much all of Saturday's play, and most of Sunday. Woke up at 5am both days to make it happen

Yup, i was up around 7 ish. I was reading the updates on the BBC as well. One of the best lines i've ever read. England, dominating Australia, pounding them for 200 runs, just in time for tea.

Only in cricket.

I have heard about how difficult they are, but overall its straighter and longer than my driver at the moment.
- senstroll

I can drop my 3 iron about 200-225 from the tee and a bit less from the ground, so I generally just use a couple of swings of that and find myself back on course

Needless to say, when I'm done with this grad school poop and have a real job I'll be out on the links a few times per week

I bet you find that you slice to the right..
- bixll

well no, cause that would be hooking the ball. I slice to the left cause Im a lefty. Starts right goes left.

I did not mean to write slice, I meant slide. As you slide to the right, you rhead will go past the ball a bit, causing you a big slice.

yeah there arent many of us, thats for sure. I played right handed until I was about 12 (got a few sets of clubs as a kid) then when I started playing more my dad realized I had a stronger left handed swing so we switched. I can still hit the ball right handed as well which is great for shots near trees etc lol.....always grab my buddys club and theyre always surprised I can...swing both ways....(insert joke here).

yeah I turn my hips into my swing to get power out of it. Which is what I did before when I drove down the middle 280-310...but now im driving 260-280 with my slice :S....I should try to square myself up and keep my head from turning as you mentioned

I have about the exact same as you for irons but I can push more distance in my woods and driver. No idea why I hit my irons so short. I think its my stance.

because Im so busy at work, Ive been reading up on golf topics and am realizing that I must be overpowering my clubs! I noticed your 7iron at 150 and thought, thats quite low for a 7 but no its average!...I play my 7 iron 175ish....I think I need to slow my swing down a lot.

It really does depend on club head speed and your shaft

I hit my PW-5iron square and up the middle....but I think because my swing is so fast that when I got into my 4iron and up I start to gradually slice the ball. Should focus on bringing my yardage down a bit and keep my entire bag down the middle.

Everytime I test a few clubs out at Golf stores and use the screen they are surprised at the ball speeds I get lol...really think thats my problem.

ill bring my yardage down, but theres no way I can hit a 7iron 150....id be over the green every time. I could reach for a 9iron at 150 rather than a PW though.

Any of you guys have weird habits/club uses?

For example, I keep a 56 in my bag but only use it for shots inside 10-20ft. I use my pitching wedge for most of my short game. I usually aim 50-60% of the distance from the pin and it works really well for me.
