Im mid 80s right now...though Ive played twice this year and been to the range twice as well...so I dont expect better numbers. Went out on sunday and had three double bogeys and one triple and shot 92. Took me 9 holes just to get warmed up :S
Think I shot +13 on the first hole and +7 on the 2nd hole. - Colin Dambrauskas

I used to chirp my buddy a few years back who played his slice and wouldnt fix it - and Ive become that guy. Frank me. I need to get my drive back...and not because its killing my game...but because its killing those who have to watch my tee up 30-40 yards to the right - Colin Dambrauskas
Colin, you draw the ball too much, or slice it?
The secret is to keep your head still. If your head gets in front of the ball, you slice, if your head is behind the ball, at impact I am talking here, you will draw it..
Another tip, is I pick a dimple on the ball, and stare at it as I swing. Also, do not swing as hard, but with proper technique, and it goes farther. |

no one practises their putting and yet its the toughest part of the game. I was two-three putting most greens on sunday and could have shot in the low 80's had I been able to sink a few putts. - Colin Dambrauskas

I draw a line on the ball with a sharpie, and use the line to line each tee shot and each put. |

I used to be terrible at putting... now I can putt most in 2, and can shoot well on the fairway, but holy crap does my driving now suck! It takes me at least an extra shot on the fairway to make up for whatever abortion of a drive I unleashed... I need to either get me some new woods or just keep the damn things in my bag and tee off with my 3 iron |

while we're way off topic anyway
dozzer:
We were talking before about attaching raster images to .dwg files. and then being able to imbed them in the drawing.
I coudln't figure out how to keep the actual images in the drawing itself, but i found that even if the filepath isn't the same autocad goes through a certain procedure trying to find the images.
So for instance if my picture was say in C:\my pictures. and i send the file to someone, they won't have the pictures in c:/mypictures, so autocad will first look in the folder that the .dwg file is in, and then go through a process of searching.
so for example if i wanted to send you the file leafs.dwg and it had raster images, if i sent you a zip file with the .dwg and the images, and you extracted the dwg and the images to the same folder, when you opened the drawing, autocad would locate the images and you'd be good to go.

Yeah, Ive tried many things Bix. I slice the ball hard. And Ive been slowing down my swing and trying to keep it to 3/4 but I think Im still swinging too fast either way. Like I said, I dont get out enough anymore so it would have been fixed by now |

i find that i start my down swing before i've finished my backswing sometimes, and that really gets me moving my hips before my hands come through which causes my big slice.
so i've really been focusing on completing a nice slow backswing before coming through and that seems to help me.
also i turn my front foot slightly inward after i've set up and that seems to straighten out the slice as well. |

Yeah - I need to hit the range and try changing a few things, hitting 10 balls and adjusting accordingly. Shouldnt take TOO long to figure out, just need to commit to fixing it which I havnt been The first tee block isnt the place to try and fix your drive |

no poop? Man I cant even get my 9i 200 yards!?!? Even if I skull the middle of the ball!!
Im about 150-160 PW and then about 10 yards or so on from there. Play a 52/56 degree wedge for anything below 150 |

I had the same issue. Your head is still in Hockey mood. In hockey, you shoot off your back foot, in golf the ball must be just in front of your left ear to hit it straight. So, your head is sliding past the ball at impact. Try keeping your head behind the ball, and send me a PM saying how you made out..
Just try it. |

So you punch the ball then? Cause if you hit the sand wedge square its going up and 80yards in range roughly. Most sand wedges (or lob wedges as most use) are 60 degrees...unless you play a 56 degree? |
