i lose my strokes around the green...putting/chipping/sand

i can drive around 285-315 on avg

- big_dion

my drive has gone OUT the window. I was 280-310 down the middle and then a few years ago I changed my grip on my irons and suddenly have a 30-50 yard slice. Havent had the time to work on it, but I hit my irons perfect and my driver I aim 30 yards to the right

i'm a heavy hitter too... but i find it costs me more strokes than it saves me.

you hit a ball or two in the forest and its a blow up hole. one holes anywhere from 280-350 i'd be better off just hitting a couple of 7 irons to the green. i would probably score way better

but nothing like aboslutely unloading into a ball

- dragus84

hahaha yeah my old man loves hitting his 3 iron off the blocks if he doesnt have control of his driver...for me, its one of my best clubs so i always drive the hole if its 300+, even the tricky par 4's...what do you usually shoot? im like 80-90 just depending on the course and how im playing.

ahahah you know what... i'll take the 50 yard duff up the fairway... atleast u can burry your head and move on.

its the bomb into the forest, and then hitting 3 off the tee that's worse.. gotta walk back to the cart get another ball. tee up again

- dragus84

Yeah, those are great too!!

I shoot in the 80's as well. Low 80's if my driver is in control, high 80's if i'm spraying it all over the place

Exactly........ who steps up to take on his minutes? Franson? ya right. Gunner? No. Gardiner, scarey in his own end? Fraser? next.

Until the Leafs get another top pairing defensemen then they better not even think about shipping out Dion. Cause if they do, there isn't a goalie in the world that would be able to stop the onslaught

W.e - Ive never really liked Phaneufs game.

funny you say that because when i switched over to the R7 i had a slice for the first bit, all i did was push the ball up to the front of my knee cap as opposed to the inside of it. that small adjustment straightened her out

usually i'm lower 90's, but right now i've been strugging a bit and hitting in the high 90's

my father in law hits his driver about 180-200 yards, shoots low 80's high 70's its unbelievable.

Im mid 80s right now...though Ive played twice this year and been to the range twice as well...so I dont expect better numbers. Went out on sunday and had three double bogeys and one triple and shot 92. Took me 9 holes just to get warmed up :S

Think I shot +13 on the front and +7 on the back

But 200 yards down the middle is better than 350 yards in the woods.

Low scores are achieved from 50 yds in to the green. Its all chipping and putting.

true that. if you are one to slice it every time - just aim to the opposite side so ur slice ends up in the middle, we've all been there! haha

Ive always driven the ball off my front foot (figuratively) and with my new grip I must be pushing/reaching for the ball too much so I need to bring it back in my stance. Just cant get it working in my head cause Im so used to driving it off my front foot that it bugs me. Need to hit the range and fix it soon.

I play a very straight game. I don't try to work the ball, I just play straight, as I can. I play high 70's to low 80's. I have a 8 handy-cap currently.

3 of the best tips for anyone

-keep your backswing slow (much more controlled swing)
-keep your eye on the ball and your head down (they are 1 obviously)
-dont move your front foot to keep better control of your swing (ball goes straight)

i used to teach lessons at hidden lakes in burlington
