My eyesight is not that bad...but it would really be nice not to have to wear contacts/glasses and still see clearly.

Wait until your vision stabilizes...I would say late 20's (like Howard did).

I did it when I was young...like 18 or 19...and by the time I was 28 my vision had gone down a bit again...but I don't regret it. And even now, I don't wear my glasses all the time... so all-in-all it worked out pretty good...but you're 24 right? so why not wait a few years to make sure your vision stabilizes...

Well...I was just looking for a reason to invite a bunch of people that hadn't seen the house yet. Waited a little because I was hoping it would be hot and sunny enough to use the pool.

I'm 26, my vision has been pretty stable for 4-5 years now. Just bought a new pair of glasses though, I'll probably wait a couple of years to see if my vision stays the same.

Well I noticed mine drop a bit at 27-28...but my siblings all had it done around that: 26 to 30. None had problems. And frankly, I'm at -1.25 and -1.0 no, so nothing major and it's SOOOOOOOOOOO much better than being at -6 and -7...(and I had a solid 9 years of no hassle...).
