Some complain about the Kristo trade, but it was pretty clear that guy never wanted to be in Montreal. Glad to see that guy is going to London in order to speed up the process of playing in the NHL.

Apparently the guy they got in return is pretty good. Hopefully it's not another Michael Busto.

Kristo seems super talented and i wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being pretty good. but he seems like a complete female genitalia and i hope his career is in tatters within 6 months. kid just has the look of someone who will snort his way out of the league.

Is he even super talented?

agree. would rather see them swing and miss on a guy like that than a a 5'9 160 lb. high schooler from Minnesota.

i remember hearing from the day he was drafted that he was. although by "super talented" i mean he could have second-line NHL talent.

Another skilled midget. Pretty good skater and not afraid of traffic.

Could turn into Gionta-lite.

I don't know the guy... but it's like they drafted a "need" (big guy) flipping a coin and hoping he turns into Lucic or something.
- Pecafan Fan

Went to see the game on the last day of camp.

He's actually a good skater for a guy his frame, has to work on his starts. He was good at protecting the puck in the corners, and he made a couple of good defensive plays. He was paired with two try-outs most of the time, so maybe that's why he didn't show a lot of offense.

People were saying the same thing when they drafted Tinordi, but he's starting to look good.

I would be surprised to see McCarron play with the Habs in a near future. He will need time.

He's really a big guy. I know, I know, any player would look big surrounded by smurfs. It's just that Tinordi was tall, but lean. Not the case with this guy.

He'll probably come up as a 3rd/4th liner in a couple of years...if he keeps progressing after that, who knows...could be a second liner...but I think at a minimum he'll be a 4th liner better than anything we got now on the 4th line...just because of his size (and the fact he can skate).

all he has to do is what Chara does...beat on smaller guys, and when he goes up against guys his size, grab them and fall to the ice with them...

I wouldn't go with Orr...maybe someone a little more useful...but yeah, I'm hoping this to be the case...

EDIT: I should have said "hopefully" instead of "probably"...the (frank) do I know...never even seen him skate...lol.

More intrigued by the idea of trading with LA. They have a lot of gritty players the Habs could use.
