Can't see anyone on the roster who would beat Bennett out for top 6 role. Jussi maybe because DB is a little reluctant to rely on youngsters so heavily

I could see Jokinen at times bumping up with the Malkin line. I think he could do some similar things that Fedotenko used to do, except Jokinen has more skill.

ive thought this as well. he may not be the speediest skater, but he has the hands, skill, and puck intelligence to play effectively with malkin i think. id be more curious how the line as a whole would work with neal as part of it. i think they both individually can play with malkin offensively, but it may be a slow line overall. (although jussi plays decent defense without being ovely physical)

That is one guy that I am elated is still with the team. His versatility is huge. I agree about Bennett too. He should be in the Top 6 but if Bylsma feels he needs a bit more time on the 3rd line with Sutter and Jeffrey then that's fine. He will add some punch to that line and probably work his way up. Ideally he'll be with Crosby and Dupuis though.

Oh, i thought he was going this week to the development camp. He was listed on the Pens website as a participent.

I think he could take part but without the deal in place it's unorthodox. I could be wrong. I know he hasn't been signed...at least not yet.

I could be wrong but I don't see Jeffrey on the Penguins by the end of the season.

The Calgary Stampede should be on every straight mans bucket list.

Even Glass could score there.

That is all.

I like Jeffrey as a depth player. He steps in well enough when a center is hurt and I think he has some skill I just hate him as a 3rd line winger.

is MAF the only issue defensively though? Ifelt that on several occassions his defensemen were not getting in the lanes. i thought that letang's willingness to jump in deep in the offense zone exposed his partner. in addition, engelland over despres was a bit of a surprise. niskanen wasnt much of a force in the playoffs but who was defensively?

with a new goalie coach does Fleury get another year? two?

I never actually went in the saddledome, not sure if it was even open. I don't think it was because they cancelled a crapload of concerts including KISS

But I was actually only on the grounds twice and that was to go to Nashville North which is just a huge party tent.

Solid spot I've heard. If I'm ever up there I'll have to drop in.

with scuds back does that drop despres to 3rd line or do you still put letang/despres orpik/martin nisk/scuds out...

letang and genos line should never be on the ice at the same time

I can't and won't believe that. I believe Glass' contract restricts him from scoring. If he scores his contract is then voided.

I would use Despres as one of the best #5 d men in the league. Much like how Chicago was able to have Nick Leddy in that role.

Scuderi wasn't signed to play in the bottom pairing.

I would use him on the 2nd PP for sure. I'm sure he will see some PK time as well at times.

I feel this team doesn't give the younger guys enough opportunities that other teams do...

It's not easy when the bulk of important players are all under the age of 26.

That said they need to take advantage of Bennett and Despres while they are on very low cap hits.
