No offense to the Devs and/or Lou and Co, but why wouldn't he just start over with a new team? He'll be even further along in age, so why not go to a Cup team at that point? Unless the Devs are back up to that caliber of play again of course.

The point is mostly moot because the Devils will never let him back into the league unless he goes through them. Rules aside, if he trys to come back in 4 years the team could definitely file a grievance that they would most likely win(seeing as the contract he signed was until he was 42 not 35). Therefore allowing them to own his rights
