Our isles kids are our vets. No need for a vinny.

As for moulson. Moulson value going lower. He won't have bargaining power with isles next year.

Bailey might already be replacing him on top line.


As for bailey contract. It's fair b/c he is 23. He has only gotten better and is excellent two way player. By 4-5 year I think he will be view as super cheap contract. Great job Garth. I've said other than JT , bailey had most upside than any isles Current forward from last year. Nelson being that other. Cizikas being the 3rd.

I wasn't exactly being 100% serious in the Karlsson comments. NYI178 is big on him here. Also know a couple of guys who frequented Bridgeport games from an old messageboard I used to hang around on (until Order 66 ) talk about his skating and ability to move the puck.

I'd be glad if he becomes a solid NHL defenseman who can play his position, and give us 65+ games every year. I'll take that to the bank- we can use a few of those.

Cousin called me laughing for days thinking about it.

I asked him (DeHaan) if he wanted the card back. He was actually laughing about it.. I felt like a completel doooosh.

That is when I should have realized how "persona non Grata" Nino actually was in the organization. The 5 guys there were Donovan (did I mention he is friggin huge now?), Strome, My buddy Cal, Brock Nels, and Ness. To the Islanders these were the future players worthy of the party.

I would love to see DeHaan make this team but not at the expense of Donovan. I really want Matt Donovan on the team. If he ends up pushing out Hickey, Finley Carkner, or even Strait so be it.

Isles now have 12 players signed for 2014-15. Only 4 of them (Nielsen, McDonald, Viz, Carkner) will be older than 27 when 14-15 begins.

Young and locked up heading to BK. Plenty of money to spend once they get there as well.
