Besides, what made it so funny was that only a couple of days before, everybody was jacked about finally being in the playoff race. Also, the enthusiasm with which they were talking about a potential 4th consecutive lottery pick.

Funny story: I remember the exact moment when your push for the playoffs last season turned into a race for the number one pick... again.

I was listening to the radio on the drive home from work, and the guys on the local sports station in Edmonton starting talking about the teams behind them in the standings and how many games in hand they had on the Oilers. I kid you not; they actually said something along the lines of, "We have some really important must-lose games coming up this week."

It was hilarious, but also profoundly pitiable.

I have it, but I feel better because:

a) I am not yet even over 30.... yet

b) I can use it to keep in touch with folks back at home in one easy place

c) I have had it pretty much since the beginning, when you needed to be a college student to get an account

d) I have never attempted to be a pirate/werewolf/ninja/other, nor have I ever played candy crush saga, farmville, or any other piece of poop crap that they have attached to enable dumb people to pass the time. I have HB for that!
