But yeah, that's the question to be considered. Think it'd be tough to get something to happen. Phaneuf currently being a pending UFA after next season can't help the value. Yet there is still plenty of value to the Leafs keeping him around. Not sure what kind of trade would be possible and would leave both sides satisfied.

I feel your pain also, I know that must of stung bad (we did something like that against Carolina a few years back).......Well being a NY Jet and Met fan for over 40 years also.....I need all the heartfelt sympathies I can get
