We've already got two turnover machines in bieksa and Edler... Phaneuf can stay on the Leafs, I enjoy watching you guys lose.
Wasn't he on the ice for all 4 third period and OT goals in game 7? - Scooby_Doo
how many canucks were on the ice for the goals in game 7..... |

Alright Dane thats enough standing up for your big brother. - agold2
Bottom line is that everybody loves to hate him, but would love him on their team. He's overpaid, sure, but who isn't? He represents similar in terms of value to players such as Bouwmeester, Timmonen, Green, Campbell, Enstrom etc. Sure, he makes the occasional boneheaded play, but he's still putting up good numbers while playing some of the hardest minutes out of anybody in the league. |

Salary dump. They need to sign Kadri, Franson, Fraser and they know they likely won't be resigning him next year anyways. - Iggysbff
Disagree. We have enough cap space to do that, especially if Liles can be moved. With the cap expected to go up in the coming years, as well as the Leafs getting an additional 2.5 coming off the books in buyouts/retained salary, extending Phaneuf is definitely a possibility. I really don't think he's being shopped.. Depends on how much faith you have in an "E3" I guess.. |

Well I know that Lou loved both Jay Bou and Dion but always thought he would try to get Jay Bou first. |

And it didn't count because it was a short season! If they had more games to get ready, the Canucks would have won a playoff game. |

You either win the cup, or you don't. You want me to make you a "participant" ribbon for finishing second? |

Everybody around here that rips Pha9 as a Leaf would be running out to buy the pajamas as soon as he was on their team. - Zezel
This. Dion is the closest thing to Scott Stevens the NHL has to offer. End of story. Wouldn't be at all surprised if thats why luo wants him. this is around the same age Stevens became a devil. |

Toronto has a MUCH better chance that Vancouver this year, and probably years to come. |

No, no, it's fine.... They have possibly the best goaltending quartet in the league, they're fine.... [/sarcasm] |

I seem to recall a big NJ trade at the draft. Everyone said if you hear about a NJ trade it's made up. NJ does not leak this stuff.

With the ridonkulous signing of Blowzak, the Leafs' biggest need is a partner for Dion.
Not sure how trading Dion helps this.
Sorry, I don't see a fit here. |

Dion is up and down. Not as great as his supporters say and not as bad as his haters say. If you think he is anything like Scott Stevens you must be on "the drugs"! |

And Pha9 is going nowhere, this is crazy talk.
We will be getting Ryan Whitney to play with Dion any day now. |
