Gags is a 2C. No one argues that. He was 16th in C scoring this year, 39th in C scoring last year, and 50th in C scoring 2 years ago (missing 14 games).

what is a proven player to you? Gags has been a top 60 C every year in the NHL. We all expect him to be a 2C. He has a good year with good line mates. Maybe he's becoming a better player but even if he isn't, he's still a proven player.
