As i said, a month ago that Schneider was there only way to get something out of it and still be quite solid in net for the up coming season.
If Gilles hadn't mismanaged the situation last summer we wouldn't have had to do it. As i said it makes perfect sense.

No, it still makes no sense. It's just that our owners were too cheap to do the right thing and now people like you are grasping for ways that it won't come back to bite us when Luongo decides to retire. Like faking concussion symptoms.

Mitchell is out according to NHL.com due to knee issues sustained during training camp. 2013-2014 season is in question.
- Marshalle

There was a big thing last year with Lombardi saying it was a concussion and the kings docs cleared him but Mitchell's personal doc wouldn't.

Well it says knee and do you really think that team doctors always have the players best interests at heart.

Well I think one could argue and win that Brodeur is, but beyond that....maybe Roy?
- I-own_da-Northwest

Without a doubt Terry Sawchuk (I know 6 team league), if Luo plays his entire contract (as well as his stats are) he will be considered a very good goalie.

Now if he goes on to break Marty's shutout record and wins 5 Stanley Cups and maintains a 935 save % during this time, then lets give him best all time.

That's not really the issue, but I agree they don't always worry about the player

its sure as hell is the issue, the team (also known as the entity that has to pay him) declares him ready for work so that he can earn some of the pay he has been getting. His doctor (the one whos sole care is his patient) says he is still hurting and unable play. Once he says concussion for the purposes of ending his career then the Canucks will try to have him declared unfit to play so insurance will cover the loss on his contract. The Insurance company(now the entity that has to cover the Canucks loss) has the right to and will send him to every specialist known to man in order not to pay out that loss. Whomever ultimately has to pay the bill will absolutely have no problem questioning the validity of his claim. Especially if it is an Insurance company, the scumbags of scumbags.

This makes no sense. They already had a younger goalie with promise and traded him because they didn't want to buy Luongo out.
- systemtool

I called that also weeks ago . I heard insider rumblings weeks ago that both goalies might be gone and a new start. That came from Bob M and P LeBrun and even Friedman.

I know it makes little sense but that was what they were suggesting could happen.

They did try and trade him and no one wanted him for the price MG wanted. Then they tried to give him away this year and no one wanted him.

Did I say they didn't try to trade him? As i said, Gilles screwed that up. But he was never offered for nothing. Don't make stuff up in your trollish ways.
IMO there were 2 dead give aways once Gilles realized he couldn't get a top notch prospect + for Lu. One was there insistanse on needing to rebuild their system and 2 was the signing of a very highly touted goalie.

At the draft multiple insiders Mckenzie etc said they couldnt give him away. So you keep on drinking the Kool aid. So they had no choice but to trade CS. No one wanted to even give a 7th for the guy. They didnt have the green light to buy him out so they had no choice but to trade CS. Only a homer like you cant see that.

It may happen, who else would Van want from the UFA goalies?

Torts vs. Bryz would be better than....

Between Two Ferns with Zack Galifimakis

You tube it, it's worth it

Are u brain dead or a troll? Its either or so pick one. I've said numerous times Gilles (frank)ed up last summer by asking to much. That being said the lowest the canucks ever asked for Lu as per no nuts and dreger is 2 2nds. There was no Lu for a 7th on the table.
So again its either your a troll or brain dead so which is it?

Most prospect sites had lack markstrom as the 2 best goalie prospects. Lack is on a one way deal this yr. Plus they have canatta and then sign Erricksson. Is that clear did you miss the Lack signing?
