Bloggers are productive, refs are restrictive. More bloggers is definitely more better than more refs. Calgary had a long wait to get a ref; Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, Edmonton don't have one at all.

We're probably stuck with me and the occasional Leafs ref for a while. At least when the season starts, the rest of the refs are around more often.

I don't exactly understand the global hockeybuzz policy of (correct me if I'm wrong) offering home fans more lenience in their own blogs than other fans, but I think in general you and the others do really good jobs.

I feel like more bloggers would be good too. It's not that I find Cloutier to be terrible per se (at what he does), but teams like Vancouver, Toronto and Edmonton that are so heavily represented here deserve a couple of different perspectives.

It just has to do with staying on topic or disrupting the thread. If a Canuck fan posts that Tampa sucks in here, it's not going to get much response. If a Lightning fan comes in and posts that the Canucks suck and offers no argue as to why, it looks like trolling. And then if Canuck fans start responding that the TB fan is a troll or an idiot, do you reward the trolling by banning all the Canuck fans or do you just ban the troll and hand out warnings?

It's not so much lenience as people talking about what they are meant to and how they do it. Non-constructive posters really throw that off.
