I'd be very happy with 20-25 if he also brings the physicality and grit. I want guts and heart from Clowe to come with the 20-25 goals.. and I want 20-25 goals to come with the guts and heart. If he brings that for even 3 out of the 5 years, I'd be happy with this deal. I'm going to miss Clarkson being madman yelling at players and officials.. but I'm sure we'll find a spark somewhere.

while both clarksons and clowes deals are bad/too much id take clowes 9 times out of 10

shorter and for less but over his career he has been the better and more consistent scorer and brings same type of game, whereas clarkson had 1 very good year and a very good start to last season but disappeared after, he is good but not 5.25mill for 7yrs good (clowe at 4.85 is too much but we know that)

Brunner at $3 million per for 2 years is pretty decent to me.

So seems like enough people are reporting we got Brunner that we probably actually did, I even read somewhere it might be announced tomorrow.

I've also heard a rumor that we may be going after Mason Raymond, which is alright I guess if the price is right.

Not a terrible line-up, but definitely still laking that "it" factor Kovy brought, but in a weird sort of way this seems much more like a classic Devils roster, no real star power on offense, but a bunch of solid guys who'll have to simply just play well together. 4 lines. Backed by great goaltending (which we have) and solid D (which we may or may not have).

Next couple days should be real interesting. It's insane how different our line-up will be going into this season compared to two seasons ago.
