I dunno man something worries me about the fact that what ever fan base the Devils want to attract (mostly NJ residents) split themselves between the Rangers, the Flyers, and then you guys. I know that it's been made to work for a long time now, but it still worries me.

That is something that should have been worried about when moving the team here. Jagr won't bring a huge influx of fans especially at this age. It might raise our jersey sales slightly but that is about it.

I wonder how Elias feels about the pressure to be our primary scorer at age 37! probably not too thrilled~ oh wait we'll be scoring by "committee" .. just like last year right?

For what it's worth, we should be better this year w/out Kovy than we were last year w/out Kovy. we may have lost Clarkson, but we gained Ryder, and Clowe will probably get half Clarkson's points.. so that makes us 50% better without Kovy this year than last year!!

so maybe we win those 1 goal reg, OT, SO losses instead of lose them.
one could hope. And we have Schneider to stand on his head when Brodeur needs a rest.

I just hope they play with all the "jam" they can muster, and not come out of the gate already defeated.

imagine if Elias didn't come back! Parise, Elias, Kovy, Clarkson all gone.. that would've been beyond depressing. At least we have Patrik.. along with Brodeur, the faces of the franchise. Hoping for a good year from him, since we have a productive winger that will most likely have chemistry with him in Ryder.

it's been nauseating. I just want Lou to make his moves fast so we can have some sense of what we're really getting into come september.

Wouldn't it be a trip if we're in playoff position, trade spare parts and picks for Vanek and a 2nd round pick.. then have a big offseason ordeal, eventually resign Vanek for 10 years 7mil hit. ..

THEN HE LEAVES FOR FREAKING RUSSIA AFTER 2 SEASONS, INCLUDING A CUP FINAL APPEARANCE!!

but it would be too funny if we traded for Vanek near the deadline. Not as dominant as Kovy, but skilled with decent size.
