Prospects and picks. They need to rebuild, you guys need to retool. It's a pretty major retool since losing Parise, Clarkson, and Kovy is a major hit to your team, but I think Merrill and a 2nd could get it done considering Vanek is a top-end scorer, but not elite; and also only has 1 year left on contract.

I'd do Merrill and a 2nd for Vanek with an extension, but I doubt they do. Otherwise, who can we legitimate give up? We have no 1st next year, we can't get rid of our 2015 first.

I hope Todd gets paid handsomely for the hits here, deserves it with his blogs. Although it sucks that 4/5 of the entire list of comments are trolls and those who feed the trolls. Nonetheless, Todd, a great write up. Status quo, of course.

It's not the skill aspect. Your ticket sales and financial situation are serious cause for concern. Jagr will fill seats, which honestly should take priority even above winning next season. I'm sure the league will be patient with your franchise as you guys have been around for a long time and have won the cup, but if your financial situation/ticket sales don't improve in the next 5 years it could spell big trouble for your organization.

They've been going up the last few years. Even when we sucked last year we sold out most games.
