Quick polls for you guys... We do a lot of "best Flyers moments" But what about Funniest Flyers moments.

My top 3 are:

1. Lavi punching Lieno in the head.

2. Brashear going to the box and saying "f XXX it" and you can hear it on the mic and Jim Jackson just saying.. "sorry folks".

3. A linesman mic getting pick up by the broadcast team saying "Quit screwing around in your own end."

I agree that it's in thier best interest to move one so they are not operating so close to the cap but they arent painted into a corner where they have to accept a lack luster return for Coburn or include draft picks for a team to take Meszaros off thier hands.

Once they become cap compliant and can place Pronger on LTIR do they not have a 4.9 million LTIR allowance they can use for another forward and injury call ups? I understand it could result in an overage due to the attainable bonuses.

- Baxter27

You want to avoid placing Pronger on LTIR for as long as possible. For a variety or reasons. One is the bonus overage possibility that you mention. The other is that you aren't banking cap space when you're using LTIR. The longer they can keep Pronger off of LTIR the better. And it doesn't make sense to have a defenseman with a 4M Cap hit as a healthy scratch.
They aren't forced to take a bad deal. But they should look to trade Meszaros.

Just curious, what is the penalty for not being cap compliant by the end of training camp?

Mine would be:

1. Fred Shero, when asked why he was starting Bobby Taylor instead of Parent (who had started something like the last 25 games in a row), in a nationally televised game, says "Its his turn". Priceless

2. The pre game brawl versus Montreal in 1987, just so wrong, I had to laugh!

3. Bob Clarke forgetting Giroux's name at the 2006 draft.

My variety expands from Boyz II Men to Tool. When I was 12 I started listening to Boyz II Men who I consider to be a classic group. From there I went to Blackstreet and Dre Hill. From there came the death of the Notorious BIG. I listened to a lot of 2pac, Snoop Doggy and Method Man. Method Man then made a song with Limp Bizkit which I fell in love with. Today I enjoy Tool, Soundgarden, the Stone Temple Pilots, Too Fighters and Oasis. From there I'll dig into roots of each type of music. The 70's of the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith always grabs my attention. The doors. 80's U2, Temple of the Dog. I'm more of a 90's guy though for what I went to high school with. I just love Magnets James Keanan, Chris Cornell and Scott Weiland. The Rage against the Machine is great too.

I thought I read they'll have to count Wellwood's salary against the cap because he's injured? Assumming he signs of course.
- jstross

They will have to carry him on the Cap until he is healthy. Then if they want to send him to the AHL, he will have to clear Waivers.

I'm not sure if I've got three. In a live televised game on TSN against the Islanders Scottie Upshall was saying F*ck you over and over to a ref because he didn't agree with a call against the Flyers. I think it was only an icing too. Lol

Well the injury is a factor there. I wouldn't be surprised if the Flyers carry Wellwood on the Cap all Season long.
