I know but on slow days like these I need a good laugh!...Im actually trying my damndest right now to find a solution for my yard. Currently have a 10x10 flagstone patio which I want to pull up, relay properly and expand to 14x15 but was proving difficult so tried stamped concrete and that CRAP is expensive!!

lol it sure is! its also been a very wet summer so honestly it would be risky as hell.

you could look into exposed aggregate concrete... it looks pretty sharp and its budget friendly

here's an example

not a whole lot more than regular concrete.. a touch more labour and its only one additive they have to put into the concrete

worth making the call for..

and when you get your quote.. ask for the price of a standard pad as well.. so you can see what the bare minimum will cost you.

who are you calling?

Ive called just about every concrete place in London this morning and most guys are about the same....2k and up for most concrete work...even for a small job of 14x15...they say its cause of the time and taking guys off jobs for 2 days...lame. I might just get that stone place off Exeter to deliver all the flagstone and sand I need and slowly do it myself. At this rate, it sounds like the only way Im going to get it done for less than 2k!!

how fast you want it done?

honestly you are calling at the wrong time of year..

wait til late september or early spring and it will nearly be half as cheap

you need to call when these companies are pining for work.. not in the dead of summer when all their crews are booked solid.

It was great. They play a bit of everything, tell some stories then closed with Hotel California, Take It Easy, Rocky Mountain Way and finally Desperado.

I didn't pay to go, but if the ticket prices are decent it is well worth it. Joe Walsh still rips.
