I also think he could've held onto Stalberg and let him "Stajan" up his numbers and then moved him rather than trade him in a package for Versteeg. There's another trade I didn't like of his, for the life of me, I just can't remember it at the moment.

If that's the case then Dallas may have a new favourite.

Sammy had impecable timing though when he made his trades.

See, its not that I care that we move players to other teams, what I care about is making sure we don't just unload them at their lowest value.

The Steen/Carlo one for example.....if you're rebuilding you play the poop out of said player to up their value....like the leafs did with Dominic Moore and with Matt Stajan. Then you move them......like imagine what we might've gotten in a trade using Tlusty, Stalberg and Hayes as a package? I assure you it would've been a player much better than Versteeg.

lol, good point. But its funny, I got two uncles, one is actually 52, and he's more of an old school guy like my pops who's 60, the other is 48, and he has more in common with me.
