hey.... not every one is going to like every one.. I understand that...

I think his attitude melts on a losing team... he is an extremely competitive player and when he loses games or when the media baits him with the same questions every night.. he gets pissed...

as far as his "stare" goes... I don't think it is a big deal... but I can see where you might think it is annoying because it isn't technically the d-man's fault.

- JVince11

Oh, for sure. I will never question his competitiveness. I just think, from things I've seen and things I've heard, that he's not a guy every body likes. I think there's something to be said for team chemistry, on and off the ice.

Great goalie? Hell yes. Top 3 in Sabres history, IMO.

I just think it's time.

I'm pretty sure he was just a guest. I only know this from previews in between Big Bang Theory because I would never watch S&S. Incidentally they seem to have a guest stars every week, probably just a cheap way to get ratings because the show is so abismal.

the acting is terrible.. but i do find some of the stupidity funny.. go back and watch some of the shows from the early 90s and late 80s they are all just as equally bad at acting if not worse.

So Vince, is Z on the team opening night?

Zadorov or Girgensons?

Girgensons I think is making this team out of camp now... I don't see how he can't.. he is an absolute piston out there on the ice.. he is the hardest working guy in the entire organization. He is the leader in the AHL and the leader at Dev Camp too. He could be wearing the C on his jersey sooner than we think IMO.

Zadorov.... I think Zadorov has a better chance of making the team than does Risto at this moment. I think Zadorov looks more capable as he has been playing on NA sized ice and game for years now. There is no shame in Risto playing in Finland for another year with grown men. That level of competition is even better than what he would get in the AHL. Zadorov is physical, he is mean, he is aggressive, he is smart, he is a great skater for his size, and he is quick to learn. The big thing that I still want to see is what he does in the transition game today... can he be a fluid passer? what does he look like in a scrimmage situation on offense? Does a scrimmage change what type of player he is then the 1 vs 1 drills and 2 vs 3 drills that they have been doing?

I think that Zadorov gets his 10 game tryout this season.

Girgensons is our starting day 3C

This is why I am okay with Miller moving on.

everyone here knows I am a huge Miller fan but I also realize it is his time to move on from this team.... His space isn't needed any more. I really hoped that Miller could have signed in Detroit but that isn't going to happen now.

I also agree with you that his chemistry isn't there. The team doesn't play in front of him like they do in front of Enroth. Sometimes I think it is because they feel that they can leave Miller out to dry and he still comes up with the save more than Enroth and other times I think that they just play a better 200 ft game with Enroth in net.

i say Zemgus has a better shot at it but i don't think he makes the jump at the start of the season..

On Zadarov, we are going to be so terrible i think he would benefit from being hte leader and being a team that has a chance to win in the CHL. leave him down there for now

Flash back to two years ago when sabres fans and WGR were saying how amazing the amerks defensemen were.

TJ Brennan
Biega
Drew Schiestel (Paul Hamilton was in love with this guy)

DENNIS PERSSON woot!!! The sabres first rd pick and future captain

Darcy is amazing with the draft. He knows talent.

McNabb is currently looking to play 3 more AHL seasons before he learns to not get beat wide by fast forwards. We are stacked woot

Zemgus is exactly what this team needs IMO. He is a Steve Ott personality and style of play but with 110% leader qualities and ability to pot 25 goals.

I could see...

Armia - Grigorenko - Girgensons as our 3rd line in camp and preseason for awhile.

I love how buffalo drafts centers then has them play wing. Great plan. Why not have Girgensons play center in the AHL next season and have him play 20 mins per game and we can see if he is gonna score? I'm sick of going to amerks games and seeing Ellis on first line and watching AHL veterans who have no chance to make NHL. Mancari and Luke Adam for example.

I meant Zemgus. But I like your analysis on both.

From hereforth Girgensons is Big Z and Zadorov is Little Z

And I agree, Big Z needs to be on this team!

Maybe we should have the future captain Girgensons actually play center in the AHL a full season before he plays in the NHL...maybe see if he can actually score for a full season in minors. ..

Girgensons is 6'2 210 lbs.. and is 20 years old I believe.
