I like the sabres, but people get a little crazy sometimes with Vanek that's all. People act like he is the greatest player in the history of the sabres and it just bugs me. Paid like a top ten player, but can't score like one

If he hits UFA, then yea I would agree, but that's not to say he won't re-sign with the team he is traded to. If he's dealt to a contender on the rise he'll likley re sign.

For example, I can't imagine he wouldn't considers signing with the soon to be Brooklyn Islanders and playing on a line with John Tavares..

... OMG you are right. No other draft classes play in the NHL he is top 3 forget the top ten. We got at least the third best player in the NHL. Why does everyone want to trade him we need to sign him to a 15 year deal. then when he retires make him the head coach and GM and Owner

ask anyone that has been downtown, hes been above and beyond the best player. some of the stuff he did today just blew my mind how far hes come. Plus hes added about 10 lbs
