He refinanced, that 77 million was a lump sum that reduced it down to 100 million. Other minority partners contributed 20 million to buy out of the debt, giving JvB sole ownership of NJ. He has since been searching for a partner which it appears negotiations are currently happening and hence why the lenders allowed for the payment to be delayed until the sale was complete.

In all seriousness though, having dealt with all kinds of crap over the last 20 years as an Islanders fan, I do feel bad for the devils in this situation.

Having said that, I'm also kinda hoping washington has the same situation to deal with so our division gets weaker before training camp!
