If we were heading to any sort of bankruptcy court, we wouldn't be adding salary. If JvB payed over 100 million that we know of since the debt was at 230, and since had the rest refinanced, and it grew back to 230 million in a matter of months, he has the worst deal I've ever seen by a mile.

He completely mishandled Grigorenko as well. You can argue that he shouldn't have been in the NHL in the first place but as long as he was there he should have played. Having him in the press box every other game was an awful choice for a kid like that.

Its all part of JvB's master plan. Have the team look as unattractive as possible right before he sells a minority or possible majority stake to Oren Koules and Len Barrie.

Of course they were, first 2 years of his contract were 6 million in cash... even if he KNEW that Kovy was going to leave, he still saying, ok... lets low ball the first 2 years and if he decides to leave, it wont hurt too bad.
