Aside from the age and possible upside, I just don't see how it helps us, especially now that Franson just figured out how to be a complete d-man, and looked great with Gardiner because all he had to do was shoot the f'n puck, and be physical in front of his own net.

I don't want to wait 2 years for Bogo to figure his poop out. If we get Bogo, move something else for him.

Fraser understands the game of hockey...Holzer is simply a mess.
With any other quality NHL franchise, that guy would simply not be allowed to touch NHL ice.

Fraser was a plug and a scrub his entire career before last season. His first 100 games in the NHL he was (frank)ing terrible.

Holzer's played 24 NHL games... many of which he was put on top pairing, a position he clearly wasn't ready for. Shattered his confidence.

Holzer was better than Fraser in the AHL 1st half of the season, just hasn't figured out the NHL yet. It will come.

He's a career plus player and has decent stats considering his role.
His career was hardly f'n terrible.

I never really want anyone to wear that number. He's the closest we've come though.

I'd keep Gunnar. Even on one hip he was one of our better d-men. The guy is still young, and I think we tend to take his production for granted.

So go with a d of Phaneuf, Franson, Gardiner, Gunner, Fraser.........

30 NHL games played total in last 2 season with Jersey.

he was a scrub who learned what it took to be consistent and found a good situation.
