Whether he is 5'10 or 6'1, 170 or 200 lbs. He isn't physical I can tell you that. |

You will love Perron! sick goals. great hands in comes out of corners with the puck. loves to instigate in front of the net (see Jonathan Quick).
THEN youll hate him. he can over handle the puck cause a turnover and take silly penalties on consecutive shifts. one game in mind he took 3 or 4 penalties. drew 2 penalties had three turnovers and didnt have a point. UGHH
when he is motivated... AWESOME player. Look at his first game back ofter a concussion vs the Hawks. the place was rocking... and he was crazed. scored a great goal. he was on a high then reality hit in...
I hope he does well. MPS, only needs to be avergage and score a few.
the draft pick and the $$ make this a GREAt deal for STL!! |

another small forward but u guys gave nothing to get a consistent top 6 - Paul99
Small? Site says he's 6 1 and 205. That doesn't seem small to me. Plays a powerfoward game with speed. Should be good for us. |

Perron had one concussion and he drooled on himself for a year. He also missed a total of 0 games after returning (1 &2/3 seasons). He'll be just fine. - kingbrehm
Concussion issue shouldn't worry Oilers fans anymore than it does with any other player these days.
Perron's constant offensive zone penalties should though. Doesn't play the sort of physical game you expect for the number of PIM's he gets, and they are generally momentum killing o-zone penalties. That being the biggest knock on his game is pretty telling... he's a good player for Oilers to get. |

He does not play a power forward game by any stretch of the imagination. Not sure what website you are looking at, but he is more like 5'11 |

Perron is not a "net presence" type player. Concussion issues have kinda made him a perimeter player. Plus he is only 5'11 and like 195lbs - PatC80
I'm gonna let Leafs fans and Oilers fans figure out who really won here. But it sounds like the real benefit is to the Blues giving them the cap room to sign peiterangelo. |

You would then be wrong. He battles infront of the net and battles along the boards and in the corners. He's a good get for us all i can hope is that MPS doesn't turn around and suddenly find that part of his game oilers coaches said ne needed to have but never did with us. |

It is possible for both teams to win the trade. Oilers get what they want and need, Blues get what they want and need. Everyone goes home happy.

No, sorry. Time always sorts out the winner. Does the player fill the role expected, is the draft pick used wisely and actually flourish into an NHLer, does the prospect develop as expected....Time will tell. |

Watch a game. Perron competes.

On one hand, with the Blues cap situation it's possible MacT could have waited them out and then had them over a barrel for MPS straight up.
On the other hand, the longer you wait them out, the more you risk Perron being traded for some other team's "MPS".
Mixed feelings about the pick, but the trade is pretty darn helpful for both sides. |

Are Oiler fans really unhappy with this deal?
You guys may have gone too long without a "hockey" trade if you find this trade disappointing. - Leafs43

Oh (frank) who gives a poop about what Ryan Rishaug thinks. He's just a guy with a media degree that reports on stuff. He wanted Eager in the top six earlier in the year. - Jack-artist
