Per David Perron's twitter feed, he's been traded to Edmonton...that clears room for Pietrangelo
- Jsaquella

What's going the other way?

What did they get in return?

No word, expect picks/kids because the Blues need roster spots and cap room for Pietrangelo and Stewart

is it known what's headed back to St. Louis? Perron is a nice player. But he has injury concerns as well.

Edmonton has done some nice things this summer. They are headed in the right direction.

Because they need a veteran up front, too many kids.
- Jsaquella

I looked for the tweet, but couldn't find anything. Did he delete it?

EDIT: Perron is 25. That's not really a veteran.

If he stays healthy, Perron could fit nicely on either of the Oilers' top two lines.

Must have...it's gone now.
The media types have it now, Ren Lavoie being first, followed by Steve Whyno

hockeydb.com lists him at six-feet, 200. He knew how to throw a check, though.

Yes, but are these listed sizes accurate?

Yup and incase you didn't see my edit there, Perron is 25 years old that's hardly a veteran presence.

25 is Moses compared to the babies Edmonton has. Yakupov, Hall, RNH are these kids old enough to drive yet?

Essentially swapping Derek Roy for David Perron... wtf is St Louis thinking?

It's a veteran presence to 21 & 22 year olds. Plus he's played 6 NHL seasons.

He's also an upgrade on Hemsky.

I didn't like how he did it though. A lot of times it was on unsuspecting players. i.e. Lindros, Kariya, Francis. Not illegal, but he was a dirty player in my book.

I loathe Stevens.

I guess, but I expected them to go hard for Jagr or Morrow for that true veteran leadership. Does Perron even fit in their top 6?

No idea.

If they had just not signed Roy, they have room for Pietrangelo & Stewart

After the way Jagr was worn down to a frazzle in the playoffs, not sure I would give him a contract.

Easily. The have Hall, Yakupov, RNH(if healthy), Gagner(if re-signed), Hemsky and Eberle. He fits, for sure.

I'll give them that they do need centers. If only they had come to us we could've given them a future #1 center, and all it would've cost them is Pietrangelo.
