i know very little of Parros but from what i've read, i don't expect him to contribute anything. i didn't expect MB to do much this summer given how tied his hands were contract-wise but i thought he would set out to re-build the fourth line into something that could contribute 8-10 minutes on a nightly basis if needed. Moen looks finished. he doesn't provide any energy. White has potential but you know he's going to be a healthy scratch here and there and he's going to take stupid penalties that get him benched for long stretches. and Prust will likely be moving around the lineup like he did last year. only way Prust plays on the 4th line is if all the top-9 are healthy and contributing, which will be rare, particularly given the size of the forward core that Bergevin is building. - DoubleDown
Well, he has almost 4M of cap space. I don't think his hands are that tied.
They just don't have that many interesting assets to trade, and everytime someone proposes to trade one to fill a need that currently isn't filled in the prospect pool, he gets crucified. |
