- BashCH

No.
They gained a 4 million dollar advatage over the first 4 years of the contract. Real salarly vs cap hit.

They have to pay that back over the length of the rest of the contract. So ~333 000 cap hit over the next 12 years.

- stormey

Well from a $$$ perspective that's not a bad hit.

Why would they?

For that little cap hit who cares. They don't pay him now.

I thought it was a full cap hit unless they buy him out. but if by retirement it means they only pay that.. then who the (frank) cares.

Anyone else hear that Brendan Morrow just signed with the Habs? 2yrs/$5.5M.

Not trolling here. Just seeing weird, unsubstantiated-but-persistent murmurings on Twitter and FB in the past 20 minutes.

is it 2 years 5M$ total

or 2 years at 5M$ per

Because the first option is not bad, but the latter is horrible

Might have been nice for him to do this before free agency started.

Yeah.

That said, I wonder if Lamoriello knew this was coming.

roughly 4M$

hey...it's better than the (frank)ing Penguins

With the addition of D'Agostini at 500K, they have 126,667$ available

I think it's all BS for now.

2 years at 5,75 would indeed be a great deal.

If Brendan M does get a deal with the Habs... I think it's safe to assume that we are trading a forward...

Gio to Devils ?
