Am I the only one who DOESN'T have a problem with Omark?
He produced at a top-6 level in his rookie season here and played a strong possession game while being paired with sub-par linemates (Horcoff in particular). His second season and the way he left were by no means endearing, but management didn't exactly treat him "right" either from what little I heard. All signs indicate that he'd bring an even stronger game than that of his rookie season were he to return (on or outside of the Oilers). I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't mind adding him, too! - MaximumBone

or did he put teemu in there somewhere? - deks1
After Omark buggered off he seamlessly inserted Harti and changed it from the All-Swedes to the Nordic Line. Either way, I remember being excited about their potential, but my have things changed. I would say mostly because Lander has become a forgotten man. Might never be a 2C , but does he have hope still for a good career as a 3 or 4C? |

I sure as hell don't understand how you guys finished 2nd last with that lineup minus Mackinnon in the first place... |

You can't just go around offer sheeting players because in the end, what goes around, comes around.
GM's know this, in fact many have great relationships & just don't do it because it upsets the apple cart. You can say it's business but in the end, it's more than that & it comes down to a code amongst GM's & some who will never do it whether or not it can improve their team or not.
It's out of respect and even if you offer sheet a player or players, how would you like it the other way because if you get a reputation for doing it, don't think for a moment the Oilers aren't going to be in a situation in a few years where the exact same thing will happen to them.
If you think they're going to sign all their studs to long-term deals, you're dreaming. - newmy
No offer sheets ...we got a deal about to finalized.Omark, Hemsky, and Taylor Fedun for Max Paccioretti, Pk Subban and Lars Eller.
what? I think it's a good deal! |

Linus the Dirtbag has been treated badly and underdeveloped.
He should easily be in your Top 6.
Amazing skill set.
Works like a Newfie looking for Pogie.
I just don't get it, maybe Eakins can save him..... |

According to sources, Grabo is still looking for 5 million. Better to keep Gagner no? - Morris
Better to keep Gagner anyway.
I have no idea why you would get rid of Gagner and sign Grabo.

No offense there Ritchie, but maybe you haven't paid attention to Minne's off season so far... Based on their losses alone, (Clutterbuck, Setoguchi, Bouchard, Cullen) I don't see them even breaking the top 10 at this point. |

that's the difference. they won't watch a season just fall into the abyss like the Oilers and especially Tambo, last year. he literally watched the season disappear while RNH and Horcoff were hurt and we had Smyth and Arcobello playing centre. he should have been skidded right then and there. - seanjohn667
There's a middle ground between acquiring Jerred Smithson earlier and trading away Stewart and Shattenkirk. |

Klefbomb gonna be a stud for us this year. Might take him 20 games but he will be in our top pairing or top 4 for a long time. I think our defencemen will surprise this year. We need a forward with size for our top 6 and Chris Stewart would fit nicely. - Snagglepuss
Ya it usually takes d-men about 20 games to learn how to play over 20 minutes a night in the show...

He does, on the other side of the opposition's blue line. The other two thirds of the rink? He's lost and disinterested. |

I'm not exactly opposed to taking Heatley, would be at the expense of Hemmer though. |

Isn't TJ Brodie pencilled in to your top 4 based on like 10 games last year? |

He's played over 100 AHL games and 100 NHL games in the past 3 years. He's also 23 years old. Not to mention he has been playing the North American game his entire life. Not even close to the same situation. |

Fair enough, I thought I heard the announcers last year calling him a rookie, maybe it was just "a young new player for the Flames". |

He's as close to a rookie as the Flames have had in a while
For what it's worth he still hasn't played a full NHL season yet (since last year was only 48 games) |

He was noticeable as a puck-mover from behind his own net last year... Looked pretty good actually, but I only saw the Oil/Flames games. |
