RC used to spin tunes at the La Biche Inn, possibly the toughest bar in the province of Alberta. that doesn't make RC tough, but it means he has some very tough friends. LLB is one of the toughest towns you'll ever visit. and if u are white, i wouldn't advise walking with a swagger and popping off. many a tough rig pig has left LLb with his confidence forever weakened (and a few less teeth).
just saying. - seanjohn667
Johannesburg, South Africa and Port Moresby, New Guinea.
now THOSE are a tough towns!!
I consider it an accomplishment that I've been to both and escaped mostly unharmed |

do you think boyes is a physical gritty presence for the bottom six? if that's what mac-t is after, boyes doesn't neccessary fit. if edm needs another top 6 skilled forward, sure i am all for boyes. i rather have larose for the bottom 6 rather than boyes. |

Dont know much about Boyes...but I like the idea of Bergenheim, Kulemin and Larose on our team. My thought process is similar to Pat Quinn's failed experiment with J-F Jacques....only not with J-F Jacques. |

I'd rather Larose, too, ut what happens when/if Eberle or Yak gets injured? Who moves up without Boyes there? Jones? FUHUHUCK NO! Larose? More palatable, but certainly not what I'd prefer. If we could bring in both of them, that'd be ideal for me so we could feasably roll two 18min lines and two 12min lines each game and have the depth to deal with injuries. I'm just saying; Eberle and Yak aren't invincible and if the time comes, the only player we would have to cover for them in their absense would be Rajala. |

for depth purposes, i agree with you. and yes...(frank) no to jones being top 6 minutes. before rajala steps into the top 6, i see prv, joensuu, and...you know it....mac-t did say he would like to speak to his camp....omark!!!! |

By no means should we underestimate Rajala, though. I'm merely saying that I'd rather maintain an insurance policy with veteran experience as a scorer in this league as opposed to thrusting a rookie into the spotlight. With how Rajala plays, don't be surprised if he's a top-6 forward someday. If anyone in our pipeline can make one of the big-4 even somewhat expendable, it's him. |

Can't believe I'm agreeing with a 'Nucks fan but yeah Spec's an idiot. I never read his stuff and can't stand watching during intermissions. I change the channel to the Food Network when he comes on hahaha. - nanook82
I drive all day for my job and love hockey, Bob Stopher is the man. I respect him on many levels for insight, he's respectful and has honor and integrity unlike the above mentioned, would love to have a beer with the guy. 90000 people migrated from BC to Alberta in the late 90's due to the collapse of the Forest industry in BC, i'm one of them. |

This fall I'm going to go to either Viet Nam/ Cambodia to see Angor Wat or Israel Cairo....I just gotta check the seasonal calendar so It's not too hot (or monsoon season) cuz I am white as rice, and in May I'm going back to Germany and traveling to Czech Republic and the Ukraine. Should be a hoot,no matter where I go. |

Well who doesn't like Simmonds.?...not sure how we got him seeing as all our contracted forwards seem to be on the roster. Boyes...I dunno. I know he isn't the player he was once projected to be...is he a better 3C than Gordon? - Jeropotato
Well apparently he isn't a centreman at all, even though hockeydb said he was. If we can't get Simmonds, just realized he has a NTC, then would Boyes work on the 2nd line playing RW with Yak and Gagner? I think he's still got it. He put up a good 35 points last season in like 40 some games. |
