He wouldn't have gone first...ppl hate Russians these days.

I agree, actually. I think he could have gone anywhere from 2-5 though. Drouin probably goes before him in all honesty. |

Well the top 6 are pretty small and weak. So yeah, there is something wrong. - nanook82
Well yeah, but if somebody has an idea as to what to do then please share.
I'm fully aware that our top 6 are small. Thing is that we can't fix this team without screwing ourselves even more. We can't acquire a big, tough, 1st or 2nd line player (so a player like Malkin, for example) without giving up Gagner, PRV and probably a couple of our most valuable prospects for that player. THEN, we have to go back and try to fill those two other holes, which is just as difficult. We don't seem to be understanding this at all. |

Why do you go to that pit of filth? Not like hockeybuzz is populated with MENSA members, but HF boards is like the special olympics without the sports. - TheTaoOfSemenko
I'm not a member, but I browse the prospects/polls sections when I need a laugh. The majority of them are insane... |

You're pursuing meaningless semantics and Im unsure why. The rest of my points are what actually mattered. - TheTaoOfSemenko
It was just a comment on the part I had highlighted. It wasn't a commentary on the rest of the post. |

He probably would've gone 3-5 IMO. Before monahan and lindholm anyway. - ystoil
I'd say anywhere from 2-4. |

Trade Hemsky for a 2nd or 3rd.
Package picks and prospects for one of Kulemin, Bergenheim,N.Foligno, Drew Stafford (okay maybe not,he sucks), Chad Larose.... |

Mackinnon another Q product, Jones a fatty, Barkov not NA proven. Yak would have been top 3 without issue. |

He would have gone high, but, he was drafted number 1 in a weak pool.
In a year like this, he drops to 4. Normally, 1-3. |

I don't care at all, just happy we have him and those other 29 gay teams don't. |

just sign him, no need to trade since he's ufa. 3rd/4th line right winger duty. |

You know it's a weak draft when the Janitor gets picked somewhere in the first 3 rounds. |

Yup very true, but before I continue I will point out that everyone is happy that we drafted Nurse... big tough d-man (compared to pronger, alright sure). Who knows if he'll ever develop, d-men are harder to predict. Just ask Tampa about Hedman, he was compared to Lidstrom.... oops.
We did however pass on the next Malkin in Nichushkin. This team is crying for big, tough wingers that can play hard and crash the net and at 6'4 over 200 lbs we pass??? MacT's second mistake. His first mistake...... Press Conference "Expect big bold moves".
Memo to MacT for off-season 2014..... Under Promise, Over Deliver. |
