Ughhhh, yes the (frank) he is - mochoson
Yeah absolutely. A 7.5 offer sheet gets matched by St Louis.
I honestly think it'd have to be about 9 million over considerable term to get them to part ways with him.
Tough to say that's a good move for the oilers. |

Horcoff is an above average 3rd line center. In a fresh environment, he'll still be overpaid but if you've got the room why not add him? - Morris
Cause you could use the cap room to bring in someone that can actually score a goal. |

I don't think goal scoring will be our problem. Wish we had an upgrade on D this year |

$6 max
Teams that learn to keep the contracts under control are the team that will compete for the cup every year, like the wings. The Wings are the model team, they don't have crazy $8-$9 million a year cap hits on there team. You don't want to be like the Flyers buying players out every other year, cause they hand out bat poop eating crazy contracts.

Dallas, who's absolutely the closest they've been to the cap in YEARS is worried about cap room?
They got a guy who will be part of one of the better centre groups in the league, and he's probably a little under 2.5 overpaid given the fact that Boyd Gordon just got 3 million. Unless you're Tom Gaglardi, I don't see why it matters that much what his cap hit is.
And in case you weren't paying attention, they did use their cap room to bring in someone who can score goals. They just also used some other cap room to bring in a guy who can prevent them. |

He's got bad hands but good skating and positioning. So long as they always use him as a decoy, I think they'll be okay. |

No no no we should be looking for the NEXT Pietrangelo not the current Pietrangelo.
As for the 2LW, what about Hemsky -half his salary and Nick Schultz for Oshie? |

Agreed. We should be looking for the next Lucic while we're at it. |

I highly doubt he's out there with anyone to ruin. We already have 3cs better than him. I'm sure he will replace fiddler on 4th line, him Rousell and Garbutt can go plug central when they hit the ice |

Scratch my trade proposal, apparently Oshie is a right winger. |

I would stop watching the Oilers if they pull a stupid move this this. Not worth Pietrangelo is not worth $7.5 - Heavyd17
You're not much of a fan if that's all it would take to get you to not watch them anymore. I hope they offer sheet the (frank) out of him. |

Lou for segiun is a wash, so don't tell me they got more scoring. They just got a young version and some better quality bottom 6 guys |

Okay so when was the last time an offer sheet worked out? Penner was the only time an offer sheet wasn't matched, how well did that work out? Any offer sheet that the Blues wouldn't match would be a massive overpayment. |

The problem with that is most teams have figured out he has no finish. |

They're looking to shed salary and Hemsky at 2.5 and N.Shultz still gains them cap hit in that deal |

Severely doubt we put Horcoff on the 4th line.

You do get more scoring. Your replacing a winger with a center. Now we have two legit lines that are scoring threats and a 3rd line that's gonna produce some secondary offense. It's definitely more overall scoring.
Your also forgetting Peverly, who will likely out-score both Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser (depending on where they play) regardless if they're on the Bruins or still on the Stars.
And we also drafted Nichuskin, more time for Chiasson. We definitely have way more scoring now. |

they would be better for a year then the team would be ripped apart in front of your eyes, the Nuge and Yaks and J Shultz will need contracts in a couple years. can't afford them all with $7 or $8 million offers to fill a hole. Typically arm chair GM. |

Your out to lunch.
Pietrangelo is a player that 29 teams never even get to sniff. Your saying it like every team has a player of that caliber and over-pays them, which is why teams are having trouble operating under the cap.
He is a guy you throw the bank at and call it a day. You should google Nicklas Lidstroms life time earnings as a hockey player and than divide it by the number of years he played. Ill be thoroughly surprised if it's less than 7 million. |
