So no one is worth more than 6? - robin_steele264
Look at the wings, one of the best if not the best defencemen to play the game didn't make over $7 million, Now you want to give some guy that doesn't even come close to Nick when he was over the hill $7 million Plus. Your team would have cap issue every year. |

Severely doubt we put Horcoff on the 4th line.

Your out to lunch.
Pietrangelo is a player that 29 teams never even get to sniff. Your saying it like every team has a player of that caliber and over-pays them, which is why teams are having trouble operating under the cap.
He is a guy you throw the bank at and call it a day. You should google Nicklas Lidstroms life time earnings as a hockey player and than divide it by the number of years he played. Ill be thoroughly surprised if it's less than 7 million. - mochoson
he made over $7 million 4 years oof 21 years in the NHL

they would be better for a year then the team would be ripped apart in front of your eyes, the Nuge and Yaks and J Shultz will need contracts in a couple years. can't afford them all with $7 or $8 million offers to fill a hole. Typically arm chair GM. - Heavyd17
The cap is going up next year and a lot of teams still seem to manage the cap just fine with one large cap hit on the books. He is an elite defenseman. |

I literally probably come on this blog everyday and say the only two teams I give a (frank) about are the Stars and the Flyers.
Born in Philly, live in Jersey. My entire extended family are die-hard Flyers fans. I am as well, but I was the oddball who was obsessed with Sergei Zubov and Mike Modano when I started playing hockey when i was like, 6.
There. You guys got my life story. And no, I dont like the Thrashers. |

Weber, Chara, Pronger (was, to old and is a cyclops with head issues) yes elite and tough, No to Pietrangelo is elite but he is also soft as butter. |

Actually, he was paid over 7 million dollars in salary 9 years of his NHL career and made over 100 million in his career.
http://www.hockeyzoneplus.com/salaries/2226
And that took me all of 3 seconds to find on google. You should learn how to internet, "buddy".
If you start at 97-98 (as far back as NHL.com stats go), Lidstrom was playing 27 minutes a night. Safe to say he was the top defender on the team (Pietrangelo).
So lets see if you know math, "buddy". Average Lidstrom's salary from 97-98 and tell me if it's over 7 million. Hell, if your so good at math, you can do his whole career and apply inflation as well. You know, since your so good at math.

Very, very common misconception of the state of New Jersey. I cannot explain to you how annoying it is that the entire country think's the entire state is like one big episode of Jersey shore. Far from it.
New Jersey should be two completely different states. South Jersey might as well be apart of Philadelhphia. NOBODY down here likes the Devils, to give you an idea from a hockey stand point. It's lots of really nice suburbs built up over time, and a large section of South Jersey is to pricey for 90% of the country to even live in. NJ overall is one of the most expensive states in the US.
Go up north? Its the boondocks, than Newark (Devils). Completely different culture and kind of people, seriously. This is where you'll see more of the trashy Jersey accents and what not.
There was actually a movement to try and get the state separated, if I'm not mistaken. They wanted to make Philadelphia it's own state and include South Jersey, leaving Pennsylvania (minus Philadelphia) and New Jersey (minus South Jersey). THATS how different it is. I don't know how far it got or if it's even still going on, but it's been discussed. |

I'm very well aware of when he started, I'm the one that sent you his career earnings you (frank)ing retard. Learn to read, I said it's as far back as NHL.com stats go for TOI.
Like I said, apply inflation and than get back to me, since your so good at math.

Because for the third time now, 97-98 is as far back as NHL.com stats go for TOI.
Which is irrelevant since you wanna mention he had 60 points his rookie year. Fine. Apply for inflation. Go ahead. Get back to me and tell me if his career earnings averages more than 7mill per. |
