Personally.. not enough to be an expert. But I do think people are looking to trash him.
- niteislander

Who is looking to trash him? I've never read anything on him since the first minor issue with him showing up late to his first camp. Where is all this trashing coming from? Not being a dack I'm just trying to find out where all this so called trashing is coming from?

not meaning u.. meaning the Tweet u quoted. I feel media has him as a bad guy.. and then tend to write about him in that manor.

I know Puck Daddy just had something on him a few weeks ago.. and a few of the bloggers on here and other places always list the Isles prospects and when they come to him it focuses on all the "negative baggage". I am biased.. I bumped into him and his MOM at one of the Isles draft parties. He was on the Fan side just walking around... I am an idiot so I knew who he was and went up with my 2 5 year olds. He signed their jersey and joked around with my son. ... You gotta root for that guy.

Well him showing up late wasn't his first "infraction" , it was just the first with us, When he was drafted he already had a label of a problem child.
Even thou he has been a really good kid the last few seasons, that stuff from Jr's still sticks with him & some people are just waiting for him to F'up, even expecting it.

I'm well aware of his past before being drafted. How do you watch so many BP games living in NC?

People also harp on his Ink... He's a tattoo addict... there is nothing wrong with that.
he's a really good kid, even if he wasn't Islander property, he's still one of those guys you want to see succeed.

it was all bad in the beginning- he was 1st round material but dropped because of his attitude.

Sorry, X...you were subjected to those feeds too?

The arena feeds looked like they were shot from orbit, you never get replays of anything but goals, and you also have to watch all the annoyances of live games during stoppages of play (noise meters, puck races, zillions of shots of people in the crowd doing stupid nonsense once they realize they're on the jumbotron, etc.).

Some things should never be shown in HD, taking up your entire computer screen, and I would rate the pie-eating contests in Bridgeport among those. You're just watching every detail of half-chewed pies falling in and out of people's mouths through extreme close-up shots.

All that said, it was cool to see the prospects play and gain some perspective beyond stat lines.

Like I said in my earlier post. I don't remember reading anything negative about him after being drafted besides showing up late. I know all about his history before being drafted

true.. just didn't think he needed to re hash all the nonsense. Kid has been on straight and Narrow for a couple of years now. could have just talked about his talent and injuries and what he may or may not be capable of..etc. I am nitpicking

He was at a party at the golf club I work at and asked for a drink at the bar and of course he isn't 21 so the food and beverage manager said no to which he responded "don't you (frank)ing know who I am ? "

Thankfully I have duel monitors & I would have AHL live playing on one & I can do whatever work id be doing at the time on the second screen... I also tend to watch the games with the volume off... the feeds aren't the best, but I have seen worse.
I have walked away from more then one AHL game wanting to run to the store for pie..
