How is that? The year he got traded from colorado to st Louis he had 62 games played and 53 points between the 2 teams. So I don't know how u would consider that year a bum or the year he had last year or his 60+ point season in his second year in the league.

Stewart needs a playmaker at C to be effective, someone whose main job it to feed the big guy the puck. He has had Berglund (a shoot first C) and Backes (great at putting passes in skates, not on the tape) as his C since he got here, which is why he hasn't blossomed. He had that in COL with Stastny. I look for him to be on RW with Roy at C this season if we find a way to keep him, and I would expect us to make a run at Stastny next offseason (or at the deadline) for that very reason.

I think there are better options. If not better,fresher. Both Penner and Gilbert, you know what you get, mediocracy. We shoot aim a bit higher I think, even if its a miss.
