i'd wait to see what philly does... holmgren is always up to something big and i can see an offer sheet by him on pietriangelo. - deks1
maybe if PHI didn't have -1M cap space |

It was no slight on Eberle, I think he is a great player. Was looking at it more from the perspective the Bruins would be losing depth, which they pride themselves on. - fudd1689
What could Kelly cost? That's the guy I'm more interested in. |

You don't need a 3rd line winger. MacT signed R Hamilton at D Eakins request. You guys will love him, thought he'd be the favorite to replace M Frattin on our 3rd line. You guys will love him - Canhockeyfan

comin off a sh*t year. If he's on the market I wouldn't be surprised if he went for around what Frolik went for |

Hjalmarsson was the #3D man on the cup winning team. Good future partner for j Schultz too. - TheNugeIsHuge
He is a good D man but I think not enough of a return for Gagner. |

I wouldn't mind getting rid of Kelly, but the Bruins depth and PK would take a pretty substantial hit. PVR and a 2nd. Would have to make it worth while for Chiarelli to part with depth.
And no I don't think that's a fair swap, but it would take something like that IMO. MacT would say no |

I would pay a 3rd and a 4th for Kelly. Maybe since we already spent our 4th this year on Brown we could go 3rd and Cornet or something |

I don't think I do that deal. You're giving up 2 roster players and a potential 3rd roster player this season for 1. Kelly had a rough year, but they don't have anyone lined up to take his defensive role at center. - fudd1689
I don't like it from a continuity/core stand point, but if Marchand's going, that's what I'd look for.
Re: 3rd line you've got a combination of Soderberg/Spooner/Smith/Fraser, that's a lot of turnover and could turn out to be costly, but do it maybe in the name of cap space. Although Eberle for March/Kelly only frees up $1.5M and you need to add another body so probably winds up a wash.
Ultimately I think KPD is just making sh!t up, quite honestly. |

Oh, then no chance. Kelly's a good player on a good contract, but that's just a non-starter for Edmonton. |

Yeah I knew it would be. Why it's tough to gauge a guy like Kelly, cause he can be an important part of a team, but the team has to have depth in order for him to be effective. |

wow. STL only has 7.9M in cap? (frank) Stewart n Pietrangelo. Deal picks n prospects for oshie. Move Gags to RW. Shift Yak to LW
Hall-RNH-Eberle
Yak-Oshie-Gags
Penner-Gordon-MPS
Zippity-Zoo-Jones
That's solid - TheNugeIsHuge
No way picks + prospects gets you Oshie if Hitch has anything to say about it. Maybe (just maybe) if you were talking Oshie + Stewart for Hall or for Eberle + prospect + pick you might get somewhere. And you'd want to leave Osh on the wing (RW or LW) rather than move him to C. Dude is money in the corners and poor on the dot. |

Staal for Hemsky (oil retains half salary), PRV and a 2nd?
Hemsky helps fill the gap this year, and you get first crack at extending him if he works out, you could pretty easily sign PRV for $2mil for a few years and a 2nd rounder (probably #38-48) for 2 years of Marc Staal who then goes UFA. The cap hit is almost even (Hemsky is 2.5, PRV signs for 2(or less) ~ Staal's 4 mil).
NYR give up the better player, but get 2 NHL forwards and a pick. - BigDre

He'd be an incredible part of our depth. Kelly and Gordon as bottom 6 centres would be great, or even having him on the wing would be excellent.
Edmonton probably just needs to be vultures for the teams that are in cap trouble.
Frankly I'm surprised Chiarelli would even consider tinkering. As someone pointed out, Lucic, Krejci, Iginla, Bergeron, Marchand and Eriksson might be the best top 6 in the league now. |

keep oshie, just price for stewart please. also you are right about oshie on the wing, putting him in the centre position is absurd. |

Exactly haha, then again it does seem like Gagner gets 4 points a game when he plays the Hawks' so it might be something to consider if for nothing else than to weaken the Oiler's offensive onslaught that comes when they play the Blackhawks during the regular season |

Very well could be the Bruins tomorrow if the rumored 8yr $60M contract is about to be signed by Tuukka Rask. |
