I'm sure this post will be taken down and I'll get a ban, but anyway, here goes:

The entire tenet of this post is so self-serving so as to be a joke. A blogger who posts trade rumors from anonymous sources whose credibility is, at best, shaky, is defending both the right of the PHWA and the HOF voters to remain anonymous. See, when you remain anonymous, and quote anonymous sources, you avoid accountability, be it for a stream of rumors that don't out-perform a dartboard or when you make errors in voting. Accountability is bad if you have questionable credibility or if you don't take your job as a voter seriously. Most people don't and can't hide behind anonymity when they're either terrible at their job or they are pulling one over on their consumers. Which is why posts like this get taken down and banned rather than addressed.

Considering what Tampa and Detroit gave Filppula and Weiss, Toronto got a pretty good deal for Bozac.

Biggs + Kulemin and a 1st for Vanek?
- Lipchitz

according to a Sabres fan over in CLoutiers blog it would take one of Hall, Yakupov, Nuge or Eberle PLUS a 1st PLUS a 2nd to get Vanek for the last year of his contract......

Awe c'mon you guys really wanted him before, remember the offer sheet. What would you realistically offer for Vanek though.

In 7 seasons with the Wings, Filppula has scored more than 40 points once. He scored 17 last year. On pace for a whooping 30 pts.

Weiss scored 4 pts in 17 games last year. He's 30 yrs old.

If you keep your opposition on their ass, they don't score goals...

not true but will have a hard time doing so.

Honestly as much as I do like Vanek, he's not that power forward Edmonton so desperately needs, so not that I don't like the player but he's not what the Oilers need at all.

Detroit is gonna be scary. I was surprised to see what Weiss got though. Might just be because i dont see him play that much but every impression ive ever had of him was that he is more of a depth guy that a top line guy. I could be wrong but whatever

Go Hawks'

he is not a checker by any means you are correct.. but he gets those garbage goals.. those tap ins.. he sits in front of the net every night and takes an absolute beating to his body.. there is probably no better "garbage" goal/redirect goal guy in the NHL.

In addition to being named 1st team RW and 2nd team LW, Ovechkin is now being called an honorable mention at D. Supposedly voters mistook his work at the blueline while running the power play to mean he was also a defenseman. Carry on.

I think it would take a huge overpayment for the leafs to get him and we don't need phaneuf. We need scoring wingers IMO.

Bozak got a whopping 28 points on the first line Kessel who was 15th in league scoring, Filppula has never played on a first line and Weiss never played with good teammates. Bozak is a 3rd line center at best.
