If G wanted Jagr so badly perhaps he should have agreed to a lesser contract so that the Flyers could afford him.

Could be Bergeron..... more likely Kessel thou. Can't see Rask getting 7-8m a season just yet....that seems very out of the normal for a Bruins signing on either players part (the seem to get guys signed to very cap friendly contracts).

My money is on Kessel being extended.

Vanek would probably be the Leafs best forward. Do you actually think he wouldn't help this team?

What Dman do you want them to get? I'd offer sheet Pieterangelo but, other than that who is really available?

Is no one going to make a big deal about how they voted Ovechkin to both All-Star teams?

Both Bergeron and Rask signings are going to be announced this week according to several Bruins beat writters.

Rask is for 8 year/56 mil.

Kulemin instead of the 2nd? Or at least some salary back.

Adam Kaufman of Boston.com just tweeted:
"Hearing Tuukka Rask's new 8-year, $56M deal should be completed by Wednesday. #BruinsTalk"

That is the deal I'm sure EK is talking about. Vanek to TML for picks is not going to happen. Darcy will want NHL ready forwards for him.

Except that G's extension doesn't start until the 2014-1015 season. A one year deal for Jagr isn't affected by G's contract.

The process is flawed, and it generally becomes a popularity contest/numbers game when the writers vote on things. Hence, the proclivity towards the East.

Well Price is earning 6.5. Goaltenders have lots of leverage.

Smith got 5.6
