I saw Tom Kühnhackl play last October and I would be surprised if he was anything close to being ready for NHL action. AHL scrimmage seemed to be a lot for him to handle on that specific evening. - Ryan_Wilson
Tiops has him listed as playing with the Nailers. Only 2 games....don't know what that's about. He ranks Kuhnhackl as their 25th prospect. Uher as 15.
Know anything about Paul Thompson.....15,9 +3 in 46 games? |

he didn't play much more after that as a result of injury. 10 games or something like that |

We don't need anymore Dmen we need a 3rd line since we currently have a center and that is all. And no cap space |

Can he play wing? Pens don't need any D. Probably have to get rid of a D. |

Sad but true, the Flyers were probably better off signing Whitney than what they gave Streit. |

Ummmm.....
No. He could sign a two way league minimum deal, and I'd pass. |

I would say glad but true (my perspective). That Streit contract is as bad as any signed by any team this year. |

A Leafs fan taking shots about a contract offer this summer?
That's pretty rich... - rival22
The Leafs fans taking shots about contract is rich. They gave Mike Komisarek millions.
And never mind the Jeff Finger deal. |

That franchise is bizarre... They have their best season since the last lockout, made the playoffs, and came within about 1 minutes from making the second round, and they basically blow up the team and make it cost more with overpaid free agents. |

Carlyle is a good coach, but he mishandled Grabovski. And we get on Bylsma. Even good coaches have strange biases sometimes. |

Carlyle has a very similar bias that Don Cherry does. Carlyle rosters are dominated by North American players.
The Leafs won't even consider the use of possession metrics and other similar things. Like any stat they don't tell the whole story but get with the times already.
I actually think Carlyle is a poor coach. Colton Orr and Frazer McLaren were given the highest offensive zone start %'s and they were 2 of the 3 worst Corsi players on the team. Complete negligence in understanding how to utilize his players. |

Harrington should be at WBS next year. Maatta, & Pouliot can still go back to Juniors, but the most intriguing name on here is Dumoulin...He had a good year at WBS, & is still willing to go to prospect camp...That says a lot about his character as a person...I think he will have a shot at the big club this year...Pens will probably have to trade Niskanen to open up some cap room...then you could have Engelland, Bortuzzo, or Dumoulin jump into that spot.

Wilkes Barre update
http://blogs.citizensvoic...08/depth-is-expensive-78/ - Deadstar
Yea I saw Joey Mormina went to Syracuse and 2 of or forwards from the top line went to Sweden. Still a long time before training camp don't judge the big roster until the season starts. Shero knows he has some moves left to make. |

It does show the organization likes him, as they like to bring in a couple of more veteran prospects to help with the young guys, so they must think he is a good role model.
But for him to go, he knows the competition on the blue line, he probably wants to get in front of Pens' management as often as he can. It's a no-brainer if invited. |

Not to mention the center we have is a turd. While our top 6 is the best in the league our bottom 6 is the worst in the league. |
