Why can't you just understand it that Vanek is past his prime.. he is beaten up and worn down.. he will never be as good as he once was on a 3rd line against the other team's weak pairings... he is not worth that huge contract any more.

The market hasn't been the same since Sekera got moved. It's like the financial crisis in 2009. Will probably take a few years before it can stabalize again.
