Sabres should stay far away from Brunner. He has the potential to be a 30 goal scorer, but he could just as easily be the next Leino.

And allegedly it will cost you $4 million a year for 3 years to find out. If the Wings could have signed him around the $2.5-$3 range I would have been okay with that, but his agent told them he wasn't coming back at that price.

From what I remember he didn't play a shift at center. I don't think they even let him take faceoffs when the center got thrown out. And when Babcock put Pavs and Z together he made Franzen a center instead of using Brunner (or Fil for that matter).

He has some sniping skills and speed and early in the season he had some good chemistry going with Z (from playing together during the lockout). He completely fell off in the second half though. Was mostly invisible in the playoffs but popped up with some big goals though.
