Connolly was not a waste of talent. He was a player the suffered many severe concussions which resulted into him being terrible.

Connolly got paid millions of dollars, and played scared.

Do I blame him? Maybe not.

But, the fact is, his fault or not, his talents were wasted.

The guy had some of the sickest pair of hands I've ever seen. He could stickhandle through a plate of spaghetti. He should have been so much more.

So....we'll meet back here in 17 years and see who Vanek turned into, then?

Don't forget the Jay McKee and Mike Peca were part of the core that went to the Cup finals. That team was pretty good also, but yeah, rebuilds take a while.

I think all of us think that Zadorov is a great physical force but not very good with the puck...





Look at this highlight tape of this kid with the biscuit... he is graceful and has an offensive upside to him that is impressive... reminds me of Myers tapes in juniors.

Bruins have plenty of space. Marc Savard will go on LTIR, and they'll have 12 forwards, 7 Dmen, and a backup goalie with almost $10mill in space.

they should have traded rask... He is partially the product of one of the if not the best defensive team in the NHL. They could still be a top team without him IMO.

This has me thinking, though... What makes Ristolainen better than Zadorov? Unless there is some great facet of Risto's game that isn't shown in YouTube clips, I don't get why he was picked 8 whole slots ahead of Zadorov... Maybe there's a concern in a certain area of Zad's game. It sure doesn't seem like it, though. He's got the speed, offensive ability, agility, physicality, he's known to defend well... I don't get it...

Most of the talent analysis that I read said something of the following:

Ristolanien - completely player on both sides of the ice. Great shot, good skater, physical defender who can also QB a PP. Is seen as a #2 or #3 Dman.

Zadorov - mammoth hitter and physical present. A bit of a project though. A decent skater. Probably just defensive d-man going forward since his offensive game is very raw. Is seen as a #4 damn but could possible become a #3.

His contract is gonna have buyout written all over it.

Chara is 36 years old... he won't be playing at that high level for more than another 2-3 years... He keeps himself in great shape and I can see him playing until he is 42 or 43 but he won't be the supreme defender in the league any more.

Once Chara falls... the Bruins defense falls IMO.

I don't think Dougie Hamilton will continue that tradition.

I think Zadorov looks better in his tapes than Risto does for the most part... but Zadorov is 17 and Risto is 20. Weird stuff



I think that Ehrhoff - Risto and Myers - Zadorov are going ot be f@cking amazing for years and years to come though.
