Schenn and couturier should contribute more there I think

I'd very much like to try out this top 6 in a couple years

Schenn - G - Jake
Simmer - Coots - Vinny

@Tomahawk

I think we more then upgrade at the dot which should have been desperately important to the Flyers by not only signing Hall but Lecavalier as well. These two are NHLers. Both should take key draws at key points in a game and takes some of that pressure off Giroux.

The Flyers tried this last season. It wasn't pretty. If the Flyers tried this again and on top of it replace one of Laughton or Holmstrom, expect to lose as much if not more by being schooled by other NHLers at the dot.

I would above all like to see Coots given more offensive opportunities. It's gonna stunt is offensive growth to only play on a checking line.

SPOILER ALERT

I didn't like how Bane died. It was to anti-climatic. He was the main antagonist for the entire movie, then right at the end they just quickly switched antagonists and killed off Bane in one shot. Didn't feel right.

- JAKEw1234

You can't have a spoiler alert on a year old movie well, did he die? He was wearing body armor
Anyway I was allright with it... Sometimes it just be's like that...

If he is slotted between a mixture of read, gags, and simmer throughout the regular season it will be a good start. Checking line imo doesnt start till the playoffs, in the reg season the 3rd line only means your playing with good-to-okay wingers

I'm cool with Hall being back. Hes cheap and effective. Holmstrom is a good faceoff guy at the AHL level, but in his NHL career he's 20-36 (around 35%) at the dot in what is admittedly a small sample size.

I cannot disagree. Couturier is more then likely to stay at center and taking faceoffs and I wouldn't have it any other way. I think it might be a good thing to try Schenn at wing for a season to push his offense more.

My greatest worry prior to signing Lecavalier and Hall was having Giroux, Schenn, Couturier and Laughton all center this season. Too much youth and inexperience at a lacking position. Faceoffs.

I really don't want to see the Flyers play Schenn at center for a few games then wing for a few games. I want him to play the same position the entire season. They have enough depth at center to overcome an injury in that area. No need to keep moving Schenn.

I love the entire line up. Not signing Gagne would be a huge loss in my opinion.

Signing Gagne gives you three lines that can take defensive zone draws without a worry.

I'm a bit worried about that 2nd line in their own end.

I don't know about gagne, was at one time my favorite flyer but he's one hit away from spoon fed city.

At a discounted rate he'd be a nice addition. It's not like theyd be relying on him for top line scoring.

Agreed Im all for bringing him back. I dont see an issue with Gags health or having to fill his production if we lose him for a large portion of the season. We have a couple third like solid players imo in the AHL if needed

I just think Gagne would be a nice addition because of what he offers. He can still skate and play two way hockey. Their callups don't really do that. Mcginn is a bruiser. Akeson is an offensive skill guy but doesn't skate too well. Cousins is still learning the defensive nuances. Straka is more of an offensive guy as well. This team desperately needs good two way players.

It's still worth the risk. It's not like the team would be paying him Bynum money.

I watched it recently. And let me quickly preface this by saying I haven't read Batman comics in years and did not know who Bane was. That said...

It was a bore. The Bane character had no substance. The storyline was uninteresting most times and ridiculous the rest. I didn't know what Ann Hathaway's Selina contributed to the overall plot except eye candy, and to do in one second what Batman couldn't do in 165 minutes - rid Gotham of Bane.

Oh, and it was about 30 minutes too long.

Bale's Batman 4? Pass, thank you.

Edit: sign Gagne.

If we truly wanted to have 1a and 1b lines, we could put Voracek on 1b (giving him the same amount of ice time, of course) and simmonds on 1a. That way Voracek can even out the scoring between 1a and 1b a bit. Voracek also has very good chemistry with Schenn, which is a plus. And he could also be the speedy winger that Lecavalier really lacked and needed in TB. Simmonds is speedy too but ya know.
