Luckily for them, they're moving from the powerhouse south east to a relatively easy division featuring Chicago, St Louis, Minnesota, Colorado, Dallas, and Nashville. - Feeling Glucky?
The playoff seeds are gonna be Chicago and St. Louis, and then whoever else decides to not (frank)ing suck. |

Piss poor management on Winnipegs part letting Burmistrov bolt to the KHL. There are a lot of teams that wouldve loved to get him. I'd take him here. On our 3rd line with Paajarvi and Gordon he'd look awesome. We might actually get some secondary scoring for once. |

Dubnyk had the tools to become a solid 2nd tier number one goalie. What I mean is that he'll never be elite/win a Vezina, But can definitely become someone like Jimmy Howard/Corey Crawford/Antii Neimi/etc and have success as long as the team in front of him is good. When all the number one picks start playing to their potential you guys will have a team capable of the same success as Chicago. - steve362

How do you know who has a higher ceiling?
Pietrangelo I see as a future Norris winner...
Hall for Piets is a pretty good hockey trade for both sides...
I don't think Ebs for Piets would go straight up...Oil would need to add something.
And history like Daigle? Stefan? - BoBBeR56
It just sounds like you're being obtuse.
I never said Ebs straight up would do it I just said I'd rather trade him. I also referred to Hall having the same value as Pietrangelo, I'm not suggesting he has more. If you look at my comment you'll see that I was questioning why St. Louis wouldn't do that.
Also cherry pick much? Daigle and Stefan? How about Crosby, Ovechkin, Stamkos, Tavares, and Kane? Also let's not forget that Hall averaged over a point per game so the argument can be made that he's a superstar as well. |

It is much easier when you don't have a dog in the fight.
If I am Edmonton, I do Hall for Pietrangelo every day.
If I am St. Louis, I do not even consider the deal. - Aetherial
if I'm either team I don't do it.
easy for a leaf fan to think this way. Hall may be the league's most underrated star. |

I don't think there was much of a market for him after it was made public that he didn't get a long with Noel.
Throw in the constant KHL rumors, and your better off holding onto his rights. Maybe he comes back to the NHL for a new team in a year or two or goes back to Winnipeg if Noel is fired.

Due to WInnipegs misfortune- do we call up Chevy and offer gags for Bogo straight across or do we pitch for Big Buff??? I would be happy with either - saskoil21
Sure, but then don't we have
Nuge
Gordon
Lander
Arcobello
as the centres for next year? |

besides, if winnipeg trades Bogo they have
Buff
Ernstrom
Clitsome
Trouba
Stuart
Pardy
I think they'd prefer to get an NHL dman, or at least a close to ready prospect back in the shuffle |

No you didn't, I was just saying that Hall for Pietrangelo is a good hockey trade for both sides, and pretty much even straight up...
Pietrangelo is the STUD d-man all teams look to have.
You said that history shows how good #1 picks are...I was simply pointing out that not ALL #1 picks are stars...
Going back 20years, you could argue that 7-8 are not stars, and never were...
http://en.wikipedia.org/w...t_overall_NHL_draft_picks
Ebs+ would definitely have the Blues listening, and I think would be a fantastic move for the Oilers to make... |

I'd offer Ebs + a not-great D prospect (Fedun maybe?) if AP were signed to a reasonable contract. |

In terms of the "Oil Core" to get to that level I think you are one really good Dman away. Hopefully Nurse is that guy. Unfortunately he probably won't be an Oiler for another 3 years.
Also, I know it was bogus but just was that awful rumor anyway? |

lol it was like mcilrath, MDZ, miller, and some scrub for Hall, Gagner, and a Dman.
EDM needs a #1D right now. Can't wait 2-3-4 seasons til one of Schultz, Klefbom, or Nurse is that guy.
EDM could take M Staal off NYR's hands |

I like to think that you'd need a good defensive prospect such as Marincin, or an okay forward prospect such as Arcobello. |
