I'd rather the ice time go to Armia or Grigorenko so the Sabres can start to see what these players are capable of down the road.

Signing Jagr wouldn't completely surprise me as it would be good PR and get the attention of average fans. It would probably also lead to a rush for Jagr jerseys.

Actually signing Jagr makes sense if you want Stafford, Vanek and Miller gone because Buffalo has to get to the cap floor as you are losing 17+ mill in those 3 guys. We are at 54 mill minus that 17 puts us at 37 mill. Jagr and Hodgson will put us over the cap floor. You would also have to count in whatever salary we take back. I think Buffalo will look more for picks and prospects then established players when trading those 3 guys but teams may want to dump salary to make room for the salaries of those 3 guys.

jagr can come here for half a season, help out some of these young guys, and then be moved at the deadline for assets. why wouldnt you want that? Also, sources who are much more accurate than this site said this.
