The fact that Fraser isn't signed right now is a joke. Pay the man the money he earned.

He was, without a doubt, our best Defensive d-man on the team. Put him next to any offensive D and watch how much he improves. Franson looked like an allstar playing next to Fraser. I couldn't imagine what Gardiner would create with a responsible, reliable D partner. Hell, put Phanuef next to him and he may look like he is actually worth his $6.5 mil a year.

If they get rid of him, Nonis should be fired ASAP.

Our biggest areas of need were #1C and top four dman. He's brought in goaltending depth, 3rd line C and a top six winger. Looks like we're going into next season with Bozak as our #1C again and still have holes on D.

I like what he has done so far but he's improved areas that were okay to begin with and failed to address our most glaring problems. He better have something up his sleeve or I don't know what the plan is.

We got Clarkson for free and Brennan was a 2nd round pick by Buffalo. He's only 24 and could end up being a useful depth d-man

We got Bernier and Bolland for Frattin,Scrivens, two 2nd and two 4ths. That's a great start

#1 centres are almost impossible to come by without giving up significant assets. The expectation should be for Kadri, our 7 overall pick in 2009 to be our #1 centre one day with Bozak being a useful #2 and Bolland a #3 that is capable of moving up the lineup. Pending he sticks around

So when do we think Tyler Biggs will make the Leafs? Can we pencil him in for next season on our 3rd line?

Were going to start taking more of a Detroit approach with our prospects. He'll start as a rookie with the Marlies along with all the other young guys. In line for a callup if there's injuries.

Ross('10 2nd) McKegg('10 3rd) Biggs ('11 1st)

D'Amigo('09 6th) Abbott Ashton('09 1st/Aulie)

Leivo('11 3rd/Versteeg) Carrick ('09 5th) Ryan('09 2nd/Antropov)

Lasch Crescenzi Broll ('11 5th)

Devane

Loaded with young picks. I think that Versteeg trade could end up being instrumental going forward. Percy and Leivo are both solid prospects

I think he'll play a few games throughout the season, but will play the majority of the year with the Marlies.

Should be interesting, barely ever hear anything about the guy, seems to really fly under the radar, Percy as well.

He's a UFA now because Nashville didn't qualify him.

He's free to go, Nashville didn't qualify him and Brennan after drafting Seth Jones

Maybe Blum doesn't want to play here? Sounds as if the scouts pushed for the Brennan signing as well. I seen him in the playoffs against the Marlies in 2012 playoffs, he looked decent. Has offensive upside

Biggs was terrorizing kids at the WJC last year, and didn't get much credit for it. He and Percy will be good players. Percy will be a real good 2nd pairing defenceman and Biggs may be a top 6, but will be a wicked 3rd liner.

I shouldn't say "will". "Should".

Easy pal. Fraser was also being exposed heavily during the series before taking the bullet to the head. He's a stop gap until our prospects develop.

I think theres a timbit in the new cba about if their arbitration is a certain number or lower, the team must accept it. Could be a nice tactic for Fraser

Marlies roster will be

Percy Blacker

Marshall Granberg

MacWilliam Nilsson

Huge youth movement going on on the farm next season. 16-17 entry level deals.

- t_leafs21

Yup
Add Reilly and Finn to the mix the following year and while we're not in fantastic shape at the moment, we're set for the next decade.

I'm hoping Blacker'd be ready to push for a spot at camp.

Sign Frazer for another year at 1.1, and give Franson 3 years at 4 per max.

Have him play on the 3rd line when Penner is Hurt

Play in the A when not

Ek has us in on Ryan Whitney

Have we grabbed Penner, Hainsey, Whitney yet?

I think our D is okey it's not great but it is okey. I don't know y people saying that our D is crap.. 1st of all last playoff most of the time Boston has the possession of the puck couz our forwards can't handle it now we add a couple of forwards that capable to handle it this season u will see the difference of having bolland and clarkson on the team

Much more likely is a combo effect of him getting married on UFA day so he was more concerned with that and now teams are letting the dust settle a little now so there are less rash decisions.
