No it doesn't, it is based strictly on their 4th year in the NHL. JVR fell into that category last year.
- faceto27

Coincidentally falls into that 22 to 24 year old range.

I think Bozak will eventually find himself on the second line and produce offense as the go to guy on his line. Kadri will end up with Kessel sometime this season, and things will be beautiful.

A strong year is what 45 points?

I hope for the Leafs sake that Bozak was signed for 5 years as a temp number one guy, longterm number 3 guy. Or else theyll have some problems down the road.

To many sick people out there who want to do harm to the kids.

I' don't mean to tee off you one this one, but it simply isn't true.

Which is part of the problem.

Everybody says that we need to be more vigilant these days, and that's what is causing the problem.

The climate of fear is making us make irrational decisions.

It is safer now than it ever was.

That's more shuffling than Tetris.

Assuming you want Kadri to bump up to #1, that means you hope that Bolland can make the jump to #2.

And why exactly do we want Bozak at #3? He has neither grit nor size.

I hope that Carlyle realizes what is painfully obvious to all of this: Bozak on the PP is a waste of time.

Put Kadri on the first unit, and Bolland on the second.

No need to thank me.

He'll be fine as a #2 centre. We're so used to seeing him ride Phil's coat tails, but I truly believe he can replace Grabo's production as a #2 centre. He's only 27, as for Bolland, he'lld do just fine on our third line. For now, Bozak's just keeping Kadri's spot warm.

I could see Bozak moving to the third line after next season, if Bolland walks.

I suppose if Kadri keeps developing he could take over 1st line down the road...just dont see it right now. If thats what Nonis envisions, he would have then signed Bozak as number 2 long term?

Players are generally appreciative of big contracts, and work harder once they've secured them.

I'd give a guy who scored 44 points in 48 gp, and did well in the #1 line role in the playoffs every opportunity to win that #1 spot. I mean, his teamates have been saying all along (since preseason last year), that he has the sickest hands. In the end, talent will win out...and the good news is, Kadri will be coming to camp in shape for sure in September..Ramadan starts tomorrow.

Is 4.25M really that bad as a #2 long-term, I don't think it is. We'll see in preseason what Carlyle sees.

Kaberle in his time was a PP QB.

Tucker was his top WR, and McCabe was his TE.

Kadri had a decent half season of play, on mostly the 3rd line.
I'd wait to see what he can on the 2nd line for a season before moving him to number 1.
For now we are stuck with bozak as our number 1 center.

My parents liked to frequent Las Vegas back in the day...they would take us and hand us rolls and rolls of quarters and leave us in the Arcade for hours and hours...
